I created this poll because I do not like the idea of Doulos being a GM and I know there are other people that do too.

He said he was "off duty". UGH! He wouldn't help me, or Monique so I chose to vote, he sucks.

A terrible gm. Was fine at first but he's just abusing powers now.

- Killed someone while checking for botting by spawning too many spiders.
- Abuses warp and offers players free transport between cities.
- recalled a player that said he was stuck without even investigate the report before recalling the player.
- Has warped his wife for "fun" on multiple occasions. when he was asked he replied "She wanted to see the cave".

He also favors certain players and does not treat all players the same. Even today when I saw a botter and reported it to him he simply ignored me and continued to talk to Erienne (one of the favored players). Later when I told him again to make sure that he hurt me he warped me to botcheck and told me "Your not my authority! I already know all the bot hotspots!". And when I told him that I thought dealing with a bot that I found was more important than going to look for them he said he didn't take orders from me and said it was my last warning.

Doulos is selfish, he doesn't help players, he helps himself and-as Nooblets said-his favoured friends. You ask for help, I'm "off duty". You ask for help, he ignores you. You ask for help, he will tell you it's stupid. Ugh! And I think he's pretty favoured too. How did he get a golden warlord plate for Dimond? (his ex-wife) Why would the devs make him a GM? I think something's going on here.

A GM is not necessarily a helper. Doulos doesn't *have* to help you. And yes, there is such a thing as "off duty".

If you're a GM it means that all the time 5-10 people want something from you and whisper about it all at the same time. Some of them want to be GM, others want to buy the GM hat, they ask for free stuff, they want you to teach them magic, to spank the bad person who laughed at them, they ask if there is a cure for small plynpom disease, world peace and say no to drugs. GMs have to sort out the sensible requests and reports through all that junk while trying to remain calm and, if possible, mentally sane. Did I mention that nobody pays them and they also have to put up with a lot of abuse - like this thread?

If GMs answer to all of that ignorant sheet a few hours every day + get involved immediately when something important happens they should also be allowed to rest, to have a nice conversation with a friend or play the game just like everybody else - especially if there actually IS another GM "on duty" at that particular time.

My answer was "yes" because you didn't add the "it's too soon to tell for sure" option in the poll.

Ahem! I actually saw the moment when the golden plate was given to Dimond. Platyna gave it to her NOT Doulos. It was a little surprising for me because it seemed like a payment for boot-licking. It was justified as a payment for development services (even if none of Dimond's pixel work made it in the game). Maybe she received the plate just for being cute. I don't know and I don't really care. BUT the golden plate came from PLATYNA. OK?

Is that allowed? It seems unfair to me

I do beleive that it is abusing your powers if you give a gift to someone (if you're a GM) unless they pay for it.

And Doulos didn't have to be a GM, if he didn't want to, he could have said so and if he did want to, you can't be off duty.

This post isn't sheet, if Doulos is such a good GM, then he will survive this post and wouldn't get the negative comments that he has. And even if GMs do get sheet, that doesn't deny the fact that he abuses his powers.

Tahli, did you at least read what I said?

1. Doulos DID NOT GIVE any unusual gifts (as far as I know). Platyna did. And as far as I know Doulos couldn't get unusual items even for himself. On the other hand Platyna is our host. That literally means that all our characters with username and password and this game and everything is *in her computer*. So (from a technical point of view) she can do about anything she pleases: she can erase all our characters or fill all our inventories with all the unobtainables in TMW. She can reset your stats or advance your character to lvl 200. (BTW, do a #inwilt when Platyna is on line - you'll see she is lvl 255)
2. Doulos obviously wanted to be a GM and I think he still does. BUT he has the right to take a break like any worker in any world, real or virtual.
3. This thread is not sheet and I didn't say it is. I did say that endless complains are just another example of what most new GMs have to put up with besides working for free. Doorman and Delasia had them, Platyna had them, Doulos has them too.

Did he apologize? Doulos, just apologize to the nice player for the minor inconvenience! (However, this is not abuse, but a mistake at worst)

CapitanAwesome, MasterKenobi, Doorsman and Delasia - maybe Katze too but I can't say for sure - used to "abuse" summoning monsters for our fun. We seemed to love that. Ferry transportation costs 5 gp. HUUUGE impact on the game economy.If you want a free trip too, just say so

Very nice of him. He was fast and efficient. I like that. Now why would anyone LIE about being stuck just to be recalled to a map where he won't be stuck any more? What was there to investigate?

This is a game. It's supposed to be fun, OK? As I said above, GMs are doing a lot of work without being paid. His wife I'm sure misses him when he's on duty. Perhaps Doulos actually deserves to receive a nice gift for his wife, just for sacrificing *their* time together for the sake of the game. But maybe that wouldn't be fair either. Can they at least get to have some fun when he is not working? I repeat myself, if you want a free trip too just say so

All legitimate complaints will not be ignored.

But I will not allow any flames or voting for GMs.

You expect GMs to be unbiased, be like that yourself.
