Odd equipment glitch

I'm not quite sure how to recreate this, but I'm having an odd problem. At random intervals, my shield will randomly unequip itself and my weapon will change. It is easy to fix with outfits, but it is BIZARRE. Is there any known issue regarding items unequipping or changing themselves?

It's a behavior triggered by pressing a certain button (Not sure exactly which one...)
Check in the 4144 bar, or wait for me to check tomorrow
Or ask 4144.

I have the 4144 patch, and I believe it automatically equips your best weapon. I was fighting barefist and it kept equipping my setzer. I haven't looked to see if you can turn this off.
~h'm, I don't know about the unequipping shield, though. Maybe he wants you to die?

Bows and shields clash. So if it tries to equip a bow, you'll loose your shield.

Got it. Move your mouse over the 4144 bar (The one with the seemingly random numbers and letters in it), and press G until you have the option "Default Attack". That way, it shouldn't equip anything without you telling it to.

i have a similar issue insofar as it involves the 4144 bar at the top. Mine is grayed out for some reason. Cant change any settings. It would be ok if the attack option was on defaut or even with shield, but its without sheild and that is an issue. I love using the bow when in the graveyard alone, it has saved my buttocks many times. Anyone else having this problem? I run ubuntu 9.1. Solution would rock my socks

Moved from Linux support to Player talk because the 4144 patch is not officially supported.

Press 8 on the numpad to change it back to yellow, gray mode helps when you keep accidentally pressing the keys that change stuff outside of chat.
