Pachua does not craft

Hi,
has anyone been to Pachua the Hermit Indian recently? I have, because I need a leather patch. So I talked to him, he told me he can make me something if I have the resources. I had a snake skin. However, I could NOT get him to me make me anything. He did not even ask!
Has anyone the same problem?

You need to be in that point in the quest for it to be available.

What he means is, you have to talk to the blacksmith, and ask where you can get a leather patch.

You have to have the other items for the steel shield ready and ask the blacksmith to make you one. When you come to the leather patch the will unlock the option to get Pachua to make one for you.
