Hi

I've registered online, received my activation link and activated my account. The problem is that when I try to login to the game I just get 'Unregistered ID'
it's only an hour or so ago that I registered though.

Please help!

Make sure you use the same capitalization in your account name as you did when you registered.

Strange this, but it still doesn't work, I've even just logged into the website (successfully) and changed my password in case I had capitalised something, but it still gives 'unregistered ID'.

The version number is quite difficult to see but I think it's:- 0.0.28.1

I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty, could this be the problem?

What do you mean, logged into the website? What website?

I mean this forum.

Ooh, I see. Registering in the forums doesn't automatically register you in the game.

The original registration mechanism was replaced by the online form because of automated attacks.

Ah ha! I am now registered, thanks for the help. Why doesn't clicking the register button on the opening game screen just take you to the page link? All it needs is an <a href>.

Hi Enchilado. Forward slash on my keyboard doesn't do anything, is it an American layout by default? and how can I change it to UK?

Opening a browser from the client would be rather hard to do cross platform. Then that leaves the platforms where you wouldn't have browsers anyways, or only be able to run one program at a time, etc. So... no!

but a tiny alert box saying:
wouldn't hurt ....

ManaServ already supports it. As for eAthena, have fun adding it yourself.

well anyone who knows how could make a new window that pops up and puts a img in with an [registration png img.] that contains those words.

But why? Each OS has an env wariable for default browser, just exec it an supply an url.

An image, or just.... plain text containing those words

either one but my idea actually after thinking about it was not about registry but to add another button for about tmw some off information about how it came to be or something also shows you this site. some other things.
