I have gone up to an AFK friend many times before, not realizing they are AFK, and I end up wasting my time talking to them, etc. Wouldn't someone be able to introduce a thing that allows people to show AFK beside their name, so people would actually know they were AFK?

There are multiple copies running in different places around the globe. TMW, Mana, Invertika, ....

The question is about manaserv. Is there a working demo of that that's not invertika?

Connect to the same address with a manaserv client (using the default manaserv port).

compile your own its the easier way and if you don't know how just press the little search button on the top of the page also an easy way to learn.
