TMW on Steam
Players TMWC is deciding on whether or not to place the official project up on steam via greenlight.
We have formed groups for http://steamcommunity.com/groups/manaplus and http://steamcommunity.com/groups/themanaworld
We ask that current steam users join both groups & if people want to create steam accounts and join as well.
If we decide to put the game on steam greenlight we will still need your votes and will release it there as well.
Manaplus has been separated out as it is the frontend for many games.
TMW is going to be a group as to preserve our place on Steam.
Splitting topic.

Re: TMW on Steam
Like I said on IRC I don't think that it's a good moment for TMW to get on steam, armedtofail won't pass the greenlight so who care?
But you have my vote anyway if you go in there.
Also, you can vote "No" for a project that you don't want to see added in Steam through the greenlight, like, a project who use somebody else community or something like this, if you see what I mean.

Re: TMW on Steam
This is a huge move that should be planned more carefully. InfernoWorld is completely irrelevant to this IMO.
TMW should get ready before this, and I mean *really* get ready. Prepare new content, get a few more players from other sources and *then* when the game is at its peak, post it on Steam. That's how you get through Greenlight. Also put an end to the community drama.
The Greenlight fee is expensive and second attempts are never as successful.

Re: TMW on Steam
^ Agreed. Who cares what some random kid is doing.. TMW has WAY more resources and experience than he could ever hope to have. I mean, the guy can barely compile the code, much less understand how everything works inside and out as we do. Better to just ignore him (and slap him when he violates our license repeatedly.. why does he do that?? It's so permissive to begin with!) and focus on making TMW better before trying to get it on Steam..:WildX:. wrote:This is a huge move that should be planned more carefully. To be honest, I think TMW has already passed its peak a few years ago..:WildX:. wrote:and *then* when the game is at its peak, post it on Steam.

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.
You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

And I will happily do so when you manage to get the average current users over 100 again.wushin wrote:Going to make you eat these words.Crush wrote:To be honest, I think TMW has already passed its peak a few years ago.

Re: TMW on Steam
I found this game through steam green light earlier today. Only had to play about 10 minutes to know it deserves to be there and upvoted. Been really enjoying it so far. Someone gave me a miner hat, I got my dagger and shield and I almost have my cotton boots (finally going to be fully clothed soon). I started a thread on the mmorpg.com forum asking to get it on the game list as well.
