It is "Baaahaha!", it's its bellowing.

what size and colour should it be? (now when we know its characteristic sound :))

Size I thought about a bit larger than the giant maggot. And should be colored kind like an aligator (I don't have a fixed idea about this so is up to the "pixelator").

Please refrain yourselves from useless commentary.

I really like how it would blend into a desert environment when viewed from above. (Is this what you were trying to achieve?) Also the side view seems nice. The frontal view will have to go through some phases of improvement before getting my stamp of approval.

So, more detailed sketches of this and eventually a colorization coming up?

Also some sketches of it in it's imagined natural habitat and sketches of animation phases would be most welcomed by the currently so unemployed and unproductive pixel artists.

I wasn't trying to achieve that, but it's fine for me. Actually, the top part (the back of the turtlizard) was inspired from a rare cactus, mainly from southafrica, called lithops, so maybe the turtlizard could mimetise with them?
The frontal view will have to go through some phases of improvement before getting my stamp of approval.
Care to elaborate?

Regards.

More detail and better defined features? (The facelessness doesn't work as is IMHO, so perhaps you should experiment more with it or just go with a more definite facial structure.)

I don't understand the part about the face... it is not faceless, so I don't understand. About the textures... I thought leaving that to the pixel artist... sincerely don't see the point on having a defined texture when it will be ported to another completely different medium... I prefer leaving that to the pixel artists.. maybe you are asking me a different thing? maybe pointing to examples at to how I want it to look will do?

Instead of getting stuck here, let's just deem it ready for pixellation unless you object to it?
