Re: Website Redesign Proposal: Random Backgrounds
Can't we have something like this as a background: http://imagebin.org/216976 A good looking high definition version of the continental map looking just like your example would look great! I dhave done preliminary JPEG compress tests and it looks good, will probably weight around 150kb. Anyone know...

Re: Website Redesign Proposal: Random Backgrounds
This is following the discussion going in the Menu thread. Many users commented about using realistic background as creating a too high expectations and thus false publicity. Feel free to suggest your own, once the discussion is over a vote will decide on what we use. If someone only have paint and ...

Re: Website Redesign Proposal: Profile Login
Well, there is a cgi script that offers a few details such as account creation, it *might* be possible to adapt it. I will put that (password change) in my low priority list (nothing else better left to do) and focus on low hanging fruits for the moment. I will definitely try to streamline account ...

Ok, I go ahead and NOT plan this feature. Is a simple password change complicated?

Website Redesign Proposal: Random Backgrounds
Hi to all, The pictures attached are quite big, to view them, completely you can right-click on them or choose "open in new tab" if your browser support it and then zoom and scroll at will. In addition to the Nivalis background featured in the homepage mockup, I prepared 3 others that show...

Website Redesign Proposal: Profile Login
Matt pointed out in his mockup a feature to login and see your characters, change the password, etc... As I am very new to the development team, and on the website, I would like to know how feasible it is and how much work it represents. Aside from this, we should discuss which feature you would lik...

Website Redesign Proposal : Homepage
Hi everybody,
A new mockup is ready that shows the content of the homepage.
I used stock linux fonts, we will be able to play with Google webfonts
when I will implement a static HTML design.
Feel free to comment and add your touch.

Re: Website Redesign Proposal : Big Menu
Thanks to Milla to challenge me so much, it is instructing and will keep me on my toes quality wise! Thanks to Matt for his superb mockup! Ideas about login and players information should be discussed in another thread (trying to keep everything tidy) I will create shortly... I am trying to keep th...

Re: Website Redesign Proposal : Big Menu
OK, back to topic...
Anyone have anything to say about the usage of big menus to enable more content access easily? Following this discussion I intent to keep existing menu in place in addition to the new menu system to satisfy the larger existing user base.

Re: Website Redesign Proposal : Big Menu
Please provide study reference or explain why current website have more than 5 links and you like it. I try to make content more available in 4 sections with new menu AND keep backward compatibility... your arguments are non-existing. Simple, new big menu enable deep content access, right side bar ...

Re: Online list and privacy [split from: TMW promotion]
I think detailed logs (maybe I misread you post...) would only interest wanna-be hackers. I do not think it would be of much interest to the general population (original promotion thread...). That does not mean we cannot use it to create awards of some sorts... but keep the details private please. B...

Re: Website Redesign Proposal : Big Menu
A sitemap is cool for SEO but i dont think it's what would help new people to join there. Not only is it good for SEO, it is also good for visual impaired... Not that I know how they could play ManaWorld... but still. The plan so far would bring them on the right side bar to not break habits of cur...

Re: Website Redesign Proposal : Big Menu
I dont think duplicate the existant menu is a good idea. Talking about ergonomy, 5 main links per pages is a good rule. Please provide study reference or explain why current website have more than 5 links and you like it. I try to make content more available in 4 sections with new menu AND keep bac...

Re: Website Redesign Proposal : Big Menu
Then read my post then... this a preliminary work to discuss MENU ACCESSIBILITY. Ok. Let's test menu accessibility. Ha, it's not bad at all. Menu in first, browsable with tab. A "go to the content" link could be added. OK I get it, YOU think the current website is great AND you browse the...
