[WIP] Flat rocks (yet another tileset)
The base tiles so far :
A quick mapping test :
I'm not happy with the grass tile, and its transition with the rocks (top and bottom). Also, i need to add variation tiles, i know that. How does it look so far? What can i improve, and how?

Re: [CPT] [WIP soon] market place
Very nice! There is no problem with objects taller and / or wider than the base 32 * 32 pixels tile : http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... 430#p28430.

Re: [WIP] Underground walls (new tileset)
I've been working on the columns a bit, here's what i got so far. I find it very difficult to add shadows to the buildings. If anyone could show me a method to get their angle and length right in this perspective (according to buildings height), that would be really helpful.

Re: [WIP] Wyvern (new monster : some flying snake)
Here's the current spriteset, with a death frame. I kept some space in case i'd come up with a nice attack animation. As Fother suggested, i'll work on fixing the wings perspective and try to separate the wings from the body to turn them into an accessory spriteset. Edit : i removed the empty frames...

Re: [WIP] Wyvern (new monster : some flying snake)
I'd change anything that actually makes it look better. I'll try bigger wings and we'll see how that goes. Here's my concern about wing size, though : that sprite is already being drawn on 80*80 pixels frames. Making bigger wings implies either : - reducing the size of the body, and losing texture d...

Re: [WIP] Wyvern (new monster : some flying snake)
If motion trailing involves using some transparency, i'm not sure i can use it. I've noticed some problems with transparency and dyeing. I'll work on patterns for wings and all the shading after i've lockep up the shape of wings and their animation, which i still need to do. How do these shape and a...

Re: [WIP] Snowland tiles
I had tried to work on that, it's still not perfect but i think it's better. As you'll see i also tried to add some variants of the tiles, but i don't think they look so good. Here's the tileset i use for this area :

Re: [WIP] Underground walls (new tileset)
Sure, here it is. When i started to work on this tileset, i had in mind a new area where a non human race lives in underground cities. I was also thinking of a new cave tileset for that, and i wasn't sure yet if it would be rock or ice cave. I ended up with these shades for the buildings, and you're...

Re: [WIP] Underground walls (new tileset)
I used some tilesets and made some maps before trying to make a tileset myself. While creating this tileset, i tried to keep the mapping in mind, and made a lot of mapping tests along the way. I also tried to make the layout of the tiles in the tileset so that it's as easy and natural as possible fo...

Re: [WIP] Wyvern (new monster : some flying snake)
I was thinking of hard, fast, insect-like wings, like the ones from a dragonfly. I'd go for anything else that looks better though. I had to drop the transparency on wings because it was messing up the coloration on parts of the body. Thanks Len, i'm working on the shiny texture, it should look much...

Re: [WIP] Wyvern (new monster : some flying snake)
I finished the front and back animation, and added some texture to the body. I tested another wing shape, but i'm not happy about it, so i didn't texture the wings much yet.
Here are some quick examples of recoloring that could be used.

Re: [WIP] Wyvern (new monster : some flying snake)
First tests of a front view animation. What kind of work do wings need? shape? animation? I'm not happy about both yet, but i couldn't come up with anything really better so far. I've tried a new wing shape for the front view, but i'm not convinced by that one either. For the colors used, sorry for ...
