Nightly Builds Error: 2010-Aug-19
I keep getting errors for the 1.0+ clients before they even start. I tried again today with an uninstall and fresh install, ran it to get the error log, and I am posting it here. Let me know if there is anything else you need to know. log: ------------------- Error occured on Thursday, August 19, 20...

Re: reaper
sorry for not replying right away. The death animation works great. Any horizontal or vertical movements, such as the skull falling, can be done in xml. I think it looks great without falling. About lightning: I am still working on a solution. You don't need to worry about it. The problem is how to ...

Re: reaper
The updated sheet looks awesome! The animation frames are all fixed. I don't know how you do it, I tried to fix it myself but failed. Keep up the good work. The death frames look like its really coming along well. The idea of the skull falling down is better than something else exploding/burning a s...

Re: reaper
Skipy, From what you said above I got an idea for how the boss fight can be enhanced. What if every time a zombie/summon dies, the reaper regains a small bit of hp. It might make players think twice about killing off the henchmen and so make the fight different from the usual systematic genocides. A...

Re: reaper
looks great, though would it be possible for like only the bones to explode and disappear, leaving the cape to crumple/float to the ground? Also I got an updated version of the config files that added in the lightning attack and a shadow. The first thing I noticed was a layering problem, where the p...

Re: reaper
Skipy, About testing it in your client, I zipped all the required files. I kept the file structure so you can just unzip it to the directory containing tmwdata. If will overwrite monsters.xml. This is to replace the maggot animation with the reaper's. To test just go somewhere with maggots. The othe...

Re: reaper
ok I realigned the problem frames, everything looks great, the down walk still a bit rough though. Remember to use this file when adding the death frames. About the death sequence, should it maybe be only facing forward? Bosses usually have an extravagant death BUT usually more like a cut scene (ie ...

Re: reaper
One thing I was thinking about was to add a glow to its eyes and maybe even inside its hood. Now that I know how the animation script and layering works, I think it can be done using the lightning sprite sheet. I figure it should go out when it attacks, so there would be no conflict in frames used f...

Re: reaper
I finally figured out how to test it on a local server, thanks to a lot of help on irc. I still have to get the lightning done, I just have to figure out what entries need to be modified to add a monster to the database. I was told the eA server has to be done separate, any doc links or pointers on ...

Re: reaper
Oh I also realized, it needs a death frame or maybe a death sequence if multiple frames for death are allowed.

Re: reaper
I will try to help with getting the reaper working.
The problem right now is that the reaper's sprite sheet is missing frames for looping walk animation.
I tried a bit to add a frame to a default front and back walk anim but its still lacking. It would be great if I could chat with skipy about it.
