Nah, I don't mind typing my password until "remember password" option gets added. I'd add it myself, but I cannot C well, so I stick with simpler languages, such as Pascal. When I have my glasses, I can C#, but that's about it .

Re: How do I get started with developing a custom MMO based on TMW's tech?
Yeah, I don't want to have to write any netcode if I can help it. Would prefer to work off TMW Classic. Basically, only making the content and worrying about other stuff if/when it comes up. So probably would want to use tmwAthena or similar.

[ManaPlus] Ability to remember password in addition to login
On a shared computer it's a bad idea to save password, but on your home machine it's mightily convenient to have password remembered for each server so that you don't have to write it each time you login.

How do I get started with developing a custom MMO based on TMW's tech?
Hello, I always wanted to try my hand at 2D MMO, but there are very few MMO engines that would allow to make one in an easy manner. I could start from scratch, but developing my own tech stack would take ages. I've considered using Eclipse engine, but then I've learned it's written in VB6 (yuck!) an...

Please put TMW on Steam
While it's not necessary for me to enjoy the game (I'm not one of those lame sods that boycott games only because they're not on Steam), this would bring many new players and raise game's profile. And, with Steam Direct, it's possible to do so. While it costs $100 to enter onto Steam, I think the co...

Re: Double EXP weekends!
Well we are currently going to patch the TMW server to allow GMs the ability to change this dynamically. As currently it requires us to edit a file and restart the server to start and stop double exp. This should allow GMs to use it during events. How about instead of just enabling/disabling double...

Player construction?
I'm thinking about something akin to what Gardens of Gonzo or 8bitMMO offers.

Re: Client-side texturepacks
Neither of which is straightforward for average player and when I get bored of one pack and would like to use another I have to remove current one instead of choosing it from a simple menu (as it should be).

Re: Client-side texturepacks
You cant change anything server side from client side mods. And if your quest allow client cheating, this mean this is useless quest. I think we have a misunderstanding here. I *DON'T* want to allow cheats, hence no editing of xml files (so potential exploits can't be found), only changing game art...

Re: Client-side texturepacks
Well, changing xml... I think it'd be bad as it may lead to making some sort of undetectable cheats (like Tibia's infamous fish mod - it showed where are all fishes so you know where to fish to get a fish - as it is clientside mod and undetectable especially if person occasionally fish in area where...

Client-side texturepacks
I think it would be cool if one would be able to make sort of "texture pack" for TMW. It would work similar to interface skins, but would change tiles, icons, sprites, etc. instead. I think it'd be great way to customize your TMW experience without affecting everyone else's. Let be fair: T...

Re: Why is there aliasing in TMW?
From my experience simple 0.5 gaussian blur (any other amount will make it too blurry) in Gimp solves issue of aliasing.

Encouraging exploration
As of now, there are many "empty" maps (mostly inside of houses) with no mobs, NPCs, etc. I think players should be encouraged to go out of their way and explore. My idea is to put some chests here and there with some items in them. They don't even have to be rare or anything, just somethi...
