TMW left me in despair !
I'm not a solo player, but it's hard to not be alone to exp in this game : everyone is playing alone in his side, trying to get more and more for himself. The guilds are about inexistant and nearly useless. The parties, designed to be casual association of a few players are becomming more than little groups. Some even don't want to leave an old party, became completly useless, when they could team up with people currently online and even get exp sharing (a really cool stuff in my opinion).
As a matter of fact, many support class don't really exist, or can't be used : the tanks, invicible warrior that just takes all the hits, don't have a single way to be attacked by the monsters and there is no advantage to be a healer, there is not even a class using spells only to make the allies stronger, there is just one that increase defence.
Those classes, anyway, can't level up without a group, because they have barely no offensive powers. And have even less if they are at a low level.
The most represented class in the game is archers, cause it's basically the best class to play alone : you are limited by your low healt and the arrows, but, as long as you can run, you don't care how many monsters there is around. It's true for the mages too, exept for the arrows who are replaced by more costful and rare items, who are obtenable with other characters, and mostly, because of solo playing, got by archers.
Of course it is still possible to use a tank or a healer, for exemple in the gy, where there is always someone, but, if you are not in a party with exp sharing, you don't get much exp. Everyone is just playing solo together.
I would like some ideas to increase the cooperation in the game, so just reply if you have some. This is just my opinion thought.

Re: Solo playing
just saying, I play an archer, but I only ever play when there are other people (except when grinding, of course).
The bonus for shared kills is too significant to make it worth playing solo.

I agree that it can be a bit lonely at times when playing at lower level. The social aspect of the game first comes into play at lvl 40 when you can join in on candor runs. Unfortunately you will probably die quite fast before you gain a few levels.
I'd say that the key for social playing at lower level is to approach others of a similar level and ask them to invite you to their party or invite them to your own party and share xp and generally help each other out.
If you are lucky you will find some friends to play with and level alongside, it makes the game so much more enjoyable when playing in a party and helping your party friends out.
And when you gain a bit more levels it is easier to partake in more social parts of the game, such as cindy quest runs, being able to play candor without dying within three minutes etc.
So keep asking people around your level to join your party and share xp etc.
Without that part of the game I would have quit playing quite a long time ago myself.
Also you might want to join a guild, check the wiki pages to see what guilds there are and if there is any guild you think fits you the best.
Good luck!

Re: Solo playing
I thought about it, again and again, and it seems that you are right...
But there are some problems in what you say : how do an average warrior know what are the levels of the people around ? Mages can use #inwilt, but others just can't know. and the equipement is not really revelling, as you can see a lvl 1 with a warlord plate. Then, you just have to ask any player you meet ? Isn't it a bit like... spaming and disturbing them ?
And for the guilds... it is in fact, limit yourself. If I rely on the members of the same group than mine, then, there will be less people to play with than if you just ask everybody in the game.
It's why I thought about a place, most likely in Hurscall, cause everybody always is in Hurnscall where those who need help or want to help, or join someone's team, can meet, etc. It could be, for exemple, in the bar, who's kind of useless for the moment, since the only useful character there is Kfahr. This way, it would disturb people who are just sitting in town or passing by.
Then you will tell me that you just have to ask to people sitting in the middle of the town. The answer is no : I already tried that a lot of times and got no help. Having a place just for that is a good idea because, if someone just sit in town, you don't know what he/she wants to do, but if he sit and wait in this place, you are sure there will be an answer to your request.
The place, the bar, in my idea, could contain a bot, who just tell to the people waiting there what you wisper to him... Like for exemple : "need help in the slime hive of tulimshar, I'm lvl 53" or "waiting for people to stack in the northern mines".
It's just a raw idea, so it is of course not perfect, but I think it could be used in some way.

Ingame : "Lord Vlad" my archer-healer or "nanogreedy" my vunerable and pretty useless tank.
I also have an archer used as a shop : Vladshop. But it's not my favourite.
