Yea requirement for sitting is stupid anyone can sit down. Its not required but would work ok.. dont raise recovery too much for it. I think instead of it raising recovery rate your stamina or energy should lower the longer you are on and you can replenish it slowly by sitting or more by sleeping at an inn or something.
Also maybe have food recovery some hp plus take down hunger.
I think hunger and energy would be cool to have more realistic.

What about making him setting down with crossed legs and place weapon/shield on his legs, this will add again 4 more frames for every weapon/shield.Talaroc wrote:Actually, he knows a bit more than you think. I'm working (slowly) on an entirely new character sprite set, which I've been discussing with him (and everyone else) in the graphics forum. The character will, yes, walk with their weapon; I will not have this game looking doofy and underframed while I'm working on it. The only reason I'm for invisible weapons/shields while sitting is because the player would probably sheathe them or put them down. Come to think of it, shields might actually need sitting frames; strapped to the character's back. It's something to think about, but in any case, I need to finish the walking animations first.

Yeah, thinking about it, there'll probably need to be four sitting frames for shields (although I do like the strapped to the back idea) and some weapons--I would assume that things like daggers and swords would be sheathed.
Come on, you know you thought about it for a second......Actually, hey, let's just forget clothes altogether. We can rename the game The Nudist World!

A better term for sitting down would be "crouching" or "crouch" in general. I would think it would be rather strange seeing player's sitting about while engaging with the enemy. Sitting an taking a break from the world of mana is a nice leisure, but recovering HP or SP while doing so makes the difficulty seem alittle bit, I don't know too easy, would you not agree? INN's an items would be somewhat pointless at that point. Now I'm not in anyway saying that sitting down should be eliminated, I'm just pointing out that their should not be any healing in the process. If crouch happens to become available, it should only heal about 1/2 of the players health (i.e 25/100), HaLLanHype also mentioned this.
I'm all in favor of having to sit down from the very start, but I do not feel the same for crouching, which happens to be a different ability in itself. Crouch should be learned (i.e Sitting down 10 times learns Crouch).

True, but what a hassle that would be, not only does the player need to feed him/herself to replenish energy, he/she needs to restore lost mana points an HP.HaLLanHype wrote:I think hunger and energy would be cool to have more realistic.
