Nope. Before the 1940s, "computer" referred to a human who carried out computations. It's first recorded usage in that sense is in 1613. From the late 1800s on, it has slowly taken it's modern meaning of a machine that performs calculations.

Apple didn't come along until 1976. They weren't the first with a mass market computer either (nor the first with graphics). Apple did release one of the first devices that we would call a personal computer (along with Commodore and Tandy Corp, each with their own; Commodore was first to release) in 1977.

In what sense? I can't think of any in which Apple would be the first.

Even if you're alluding to the early mass market personal computers, Apple was not the first. KIM-1 and Altair 8800 came out before Apple I, and Commodore PET was available before Apple II (as pointed out by the links Jax offered which you obviously didn't bother to read).

Yeah, google chrome is great, its is a fast, nimble browser. Firefox is good but is sluggish compared to chrome because of all the bells and whistles Firefox has. I don't use all the features on firefox and I like the minimalist design of chrome.
