Why don't we have a prison for spammers/minor offenders, an idea I came up with a while ago, but never really told many people.

For many reasons. First, it will become a trophy prize.

Get yourself tossed in and then use your second character to make fun of your first character.

Secondly, prison only works, if you have something to lose. You have nothing to lose in this game by going to prison.

Thirdly. If public humiliation worked. It should have stopped the original crime.

It will not stop the spam.
The spammer will just get tossed in.

Run a client on another computer and he is off.

Let me make this clear. Prison only works if you have to stay in it. If you do not have to stay in it, like park your character and use another one. Then it will not work.

Let me run this past you.

I have player 1. I run into the town spamming as I go. I get tossed in prison.

I log into player 2 on a different pc. I run into town and I do it again.

I have player 3 that has all the junk. I just wait until I need him, log in trade log out.

How in the world is prison going to help?

Make any characters logged on from the spammers IP address during the 'Jail' time go to prison, and they will continue to be in the prison on any other computers they are logged onto, although using proxies will stop that from working, and it won't be very good for people who share computers...

Also, why the hell would anyone bother to make fun of their character on their other character, it's a complete waste of time...

You can do this same thing when you get banned because you are aloud multiple accounts. There is no real point of doing this other than be annoying.

I vote the spammer gets warped to the jail and is released with in 5m but has to walk all the way back to town from jail. Jail should be in a low lvl area and far away from Hurnscald. I say Hurnscald because it is the most heavily populated area of tmw.

About the jail thing:

In fact, there is no prison because nobody had enough time to implement something like this properly and in a way it doesn't become a "trophy". I had that idea more than a year ago and everybody agreed...so... well...nvm.
