The way you described counts for categorizing template documentations but we should also categorize the templates themselvesAltus Institute wrote:for the template i saw a possible way to put them in some categories to find them quickly.
And yeah, we should definitely create a /doc page for each template or at least for every template that needs a bit of explanation.
Feel free to do so with the Template:i18n, I didn't do so yet since I'm focussed on categories right now.
Nope, that's why the category for a template itself e.g. looks like this: <noinclude>[[Category:General Template]]</noinclude>Altus Institute wrote:see:
template :branding (if we put in category in this template, the category will appear on the main page = disgusting)
so :
create a template: branding/doc (and include the category[+some info] here to find the template easly)
This way the template itself is in the "General Template" category, but not pages using the template.
For templates categories I see you already noticed my new sandbox page (btw please use "~~~~" or "--~~~~" in talk pages so we know who wrote which post, see here ), I'm currently thinking about:
- Templates shortcut
- General templates
- Templates for player pages
- Templates for dev pages
- Templates for translators
But I'm also trying to KISS = Keep It Short and Simple
I think you misunderstood, you already found that overviewAltus Institute wrote: but something to ask,
this will be for soon or not?
because if you give a new overview, helpers will need to put it in all page.
I mean its the same for {{Template:Metakey}}{{Template:Metadesc}}{{Category_playerinfo}}{{Status_green}}ty
Like I said it's a main page, like our general or dev main page, not a template.
Edit: Oh, and thanks for your suggestions in the talk page
