not to piss anyone off but i've got 2 ideas...
1. I like the idea of towns being protection zones and
PvP everywhere else, and i voted for it as the best idea but, once more people come, wouldn't the whole game just fall to
PvP, i mean who would kill the monsters out there if they could kill eachother? the other problem i see with that is that people that like PvE and are out in that area, could just get PKed while trying to lvl through PvE...that's a problem with The World (
http://cyberconnects.com/) PKers are dealt with, too but, it's mainly just revenge there
2. I really like the original WoW idea, duels in any area you want but, it has to be a player agreement, anyone can challenge anyone at any time, in any place but the other player has to give consent...
EDIT: as for the town guard idea, there could be set GMs with a set high-lvled "GM" char with top-line armor and weapons that do that job...HEY!!! there could be a thing to instantly message a GM in-game about someone who PKed you unwillingly (or any other problem) and the GM could take care of him (as long as you give the GM his char name and place he was last seen)...this way the GMs can move around and such AND we can have
PvP everywhere AND deal with PKers...I call that position if my idea's used
