[WIP] Chick

Well, yesterday I wanted to work in a mob and I find a start made by Fother, 1frame in one of his background, lost, and which nobody saw it before... I feel dirrectly in love with this little chick...
Here the sprite :

What need to be done :
-Stars animation when yellow thing is dead. (accessories)
-3 items. (Need to think about it, give me idea..)
-3sound. (Death, attack, and a little cuicui when he is idle )
-XML which I do actually.

I'm working on it, but every help is welcome. (And feedback too...)


(It's little yeah, I want it to be a 10pv / 1exp mob.)

IMO it is too small for a monster, but I could imagine it being used as a particle effect. Unfortunately the particle engine doesn't allow particles which have animation phases AND are direction-aware.

But you still gain my respect as a pixel artist for pixeling a chick on such a small canvas size.

Thanks, it's a real chalange to do that in a small size, but this one is what I wanted. I needed a small monster as the maggot to fit as newby mob for my project.
I already tested it on map and it's not as tiny as that. ^^

@Chef : Thanks, to get a comment from you is always very nice.


Edit : Why it is small? Imagine a player that get upset because he is killed by big monster, imagine now a little yellow thing on his way.

i am a tmw player and not just a guy who is talking at the forum... i would love to fight a tiny monster sometimes... and this one is looking good.....
so why not add this one at the water... just as a "joke"... this one isnt a boss-monster but it let the world look more full of life...
and thats not bad... isnt it?

It always makes me smile when a small, cute monster goes on a killing spree.

I totally agree with Kage! A cute little monster like this one can be non-agressive and can be spawned near the farm... Maybe a new farming area with some large fields with a lot of these death machines can be really good!

I am serious about that! This will be a huge thing for TMW!

Impossible right now. Chick only know 3 thing:
-Standing
-Jumping/Walking
-Dying (It's better but facultative for eating them.)

As item wombat suggested me a feather, somebody got other idea?

Why not simply lower than a maggot? u.u
This thread is about my graphics, it will be wombat that will choise if he want to add it in game, which stat it will got, and which name i will got.

Discution like that is annoying, just give me feedback (real one) and which item I need to do for this one.

who said it was a joke? i think it would be quite nice to have a small monster will high stats, why does it have to be so stereotypical for small monsters to have lower stats then bigger monsters? its not all about the size, the chick could have a disease for all we know.

i dont think a chick would be able to drop much, maybe a feather if they have any.

...imo it would be cool to see a hen-mob that uses the chick as a attack (like in zelda l.t.p)..
you would stab the hen and then a rain/hail of chicks come from everywhere...just a idea..
