pvp war!

I have an idea I would like some feed back on:

I would like to have a pvp war! Teams of 5 players, can enter, no limitation on what they can be (warriors, archers or mages). There will be an entry fee per team, say 250k. All teams would meet at a predefined spot and the war would be on. The last man or woman standing would get the money for there team!

If you like the idea and can get a team together make a post.

It would not be fair.

Magic is broken, which means it would only be for mages, warroir and archers would not stand a chance.


People would repeatability cheat, it would end up with pretty much the same people that currently massively killing people to win.

Until magic is fixed, pvp is just stupid and pointless.

I can tell you who would win.

Mistakes, frost, kandi, and the romasaki. No one would stand a chance.

Why dont you just randomly pick one of them and call it a day.

omg quit yer bitching about magic is broken, we Duck get it. that's why on your team of 5, you bring a mage along who can asorm you. as it stands, there is currently no way to defend against an asormed warrior. how's that for broken?

Honestly, I've heard plenty about "how broken magic is", but what would you do differently? To be honest, yes, magic does more damage than any physical attack, this is true. And a mage can put points in vit, making them less of an easy kill. But tell me, if warriors and archers are so sure to be left behind, why is it that an archer with the speed skill can match or exceed my damage at the speed magic casts? If I wanted to surpass that, I'd need about 100 agi on top of my 100 int, and then I would die in 1-2 hits tops. Sorry to say, but the only ways in which magic are "broken" that I can see, is the annoying way in which we type the command in to cast, and possibly the addition of the wizard hat, which I'll fully admit is cheap as hell. If mages and archers can now be total powerhouses, we can either downgrade mages, which is really only fair to those who hate them, and which will eventually lead to downgrading archers too since they've become the new cheap thing to use with 100 dex and the speed skill... or we can move on to the only other logical step, which is - compensate the warrior class so they can be on a somewhat equal footing. A powerful weapon, a fairly easy to get str booster, a skill that gives them an advantage, etc.

This will never come down to all the "classes" having equal damage, because that would be a pretty lame game. What's the point of choosing one, if all 3 end up being the exact same? You say magic in pvp is unfair, and yeah, it is, but the reason behind it is purely logical. Warriors beef up their phys defense, and that's all they worry about defencewise. How else would a less armored up mage have a chance against some tank? Mages have to have enough vitality to survive, even with the protect spell, and on top of that another mage could easily one shot kill them with lightning, despite say, 100 int/magic def. Warriors aren't built to defend against magic, and the stat points make adding int kind of difficult and wasteful. That's why I keep pushing for stuff that encourages warrior/mage hybrids, actually good magic def armor, magic damage weapons, etc.

If you want a fix to the one shot kill bit, someone should really consider upping all players' base magic defense a bit, to give everyone a fighting chance. Aside from that, just consider that when fighting a warrior, a mage's battle plan is much different from when attacking another mage. If warriors expect to be able to kill everyone wearing the same gear, with no terranite armor (for the m def bonus) or a mage to asorm them, the outcome seems pretty fair lol.


Sorry Prsm, I get carried away by debates :P. This is a great idea I've been trying to think of clearly for a while, and sounds like tons of fun. I hope people can get over their problems with each class and just have fun lol. The group dynamic Should be capable of sorting out most class inbalances, since a good mage can protect and asorm a group, archers hit fast enough from a distance to take down mages, and warriors hit hard enough to kill mages and some archers.

Cool idea would love to be there. (if anyone needs a warrior just ask be happy to join)
The only possible problem I could see with this is if it is one huge battle then there could be accidental team killing.

Yep magic is an issue but how about limit the teams members to for example 2 warriors, 2 archers and one mage. You change that combination for different wars, but the teams must have the same number and class, and also is a good way to give a use to those new skills!

Darkwater why dont you create your server and call it the warrior world then if you say its so broken. as narus said with a equal teams it should be fine. also you say people would "cheat", are you implying using the attacks available to you on the game are "cheating". I think your just very bitter about magic.

I was thinking that a way of bringing some balance "Might" be making quests that require a mage,an archer, and a warrior to complete. Make the reward something that gives each char a valuble item or stat. It might take a bit of planning to create something like this, but what it would do is perhaps make different player chars work toward a common goal.
