Hi guys, this proyect looks very interesting, want to help. Tomorrow gotta try to read the full storyline in the wiki of the game to familiarize with it. Here is my portfolio if the art director want me to help or something like concept designs, UI design, illustrations for the storyline, splash screens, etc.

I love open source, I'm using softwares like gimp, mypaint, alchemy, krita, blender for my workflow. I also use photoshop but Im moving completly to open source, I would like to work here using only open source software. I have a lot of I deas to make something like a documentation, a guide of how the team have a workflow, etc, etc. Something like the open movies of blender fundation.

hello everyone,

i think it really looks great. as i was 3d modeler, i think i've never created such a beautiful things, as i did only small things, like different rings, bracelets, hats and etc.
if you don't know, this project uses pixel art. the most amount of your works are done with other tools, but with your experience you can do pixel art very well too. you could post here some examples of your pixels, but before i'd advice you to look through already existed graphics, done by other developers.
you has already been written by ginaria (head of pinkie council) about wiki, it's very helpful

Ginaria- Thanks a lot XD, I will learn more about pixel art, long time ago I don't do a Iso pixelart, is interesting and I'm gonna give it a try using gimp. Thanks for the welcome, I'm starting to play to get familiar with the game and the mecanics as well as the art.

Dark_Mag- I was taking a look to tileset, looks interesting, as I say to Ginaria gotta give a shot to this kind of applications, I use to always try new things, like open source softwares. 3D is very helpfull to conceptualize lot of stuff even if they are not gonna be inside the game as a 3d asset. Wombat is the leader of content development. I am currently not involved in content development myself, but afaik Poison Ivy currently plays a leading role in art development.

But note that developers on this project are mostly expected to be self-organizing. You don't get an assignment, you pick one yourself.

Do you like steampunk? I think the guys who design the Thermin tileset could need some inspiration. Their tileset is currently a solid base, but it lacks stuff. Some objects and details to make it interesting like tools and machinery laying or standing around. Maybe some concept art could help them.

Concept art (especially stuff of this quality, it's amazing) is of course very welcome, but it's up to the final pixel-artists how much use they make of it. If you pay a visit to some art development threads (such as the Thermin one Crush linked to) and decide to do some concept art, post it there and (if it's good) we'll try to get it pixelled.

Make sure you read our graphics guidelines, and I'd recommend reading some pixel-art tutorials as well to make sure you know what it's about and how to do it.
