Just the minor fact people are only getting introduced to the game through a software connection. :|

Better than not at all, and its a good thing that we have a steady connection with new players. What do you want, some massive TV and interwebs campaign? For a game that is still in alpha?

I suppose I should answer this at last ...

There was a time when I was bored so I installed every interesting-looking game in the "Games" category in ubuntu, especially RPGs. Then I didn't play it because it required logging in. But eventually I came and actually tried it, did all the quests except "collect 50 bones", mostly on my own but occasionally fighting snakes with a couple of other people.

Then I went away for a while, then came back, did all the new quests (skills, yeti, ...)

Then I got frustrated with some of the quests, got into development and haven't bothered to keep up with all the new quests (graveyard expansion, etc.)
