ok laugh if you want but I started a new guy just to see the NEW newbie beginning and I got stuck on that as well.
pixie zipped right through and made me feel stupid.

Haha, same here. I couldn't level up, because there were no additional maggots, and scorpions scripted with quest killed me instantly. I tried it many times before I luckily killed one and leveled. I had to set skills wrong, but, of course, no Malivox there.
