Poll question reguarding PVP - - please leave feedback.

I think you should have an option in which you can challenge someone, aside from outside protection zones. when challenging you fight and win to any means necessary but at the end...the winner should be able to choose one item from the oppenents inventory and or a small GP amount, but this would only be the case if you and another agreed to a duel. this would not be considered for outside protection zones.

The PvP
Hubby and I were talking. It would be ok to have PvP in the game. I agree not to have it in the town. That is where most newbies stay after all. BUT.. what if you are playing with a friend and you are attacking a monster and you accidently target a friend and aren't swift to move or click off it, and well you kill your friend. How does that work ? How can you stop people from constantly killing the same person? Cuz if someone kept coming after me I would have to find a safe place until they left the game lol ...

I voted for towns being the only safe havens.
I really liked some of Peacemaker's ideas; they all sounded interesting. I also appreciated the ELO idea. And, I have a few ideas of my own:
* Players should be restricted to PKing only other characters that are within a certain lvl rang of their own level. For example, a lvl 30 character cannot attack a lvl 20 character (or vice versa), but can attack a lvl 25. There should, however be some exceptions, such as if the lvl 20 character steal from the lvl 30, or both enter a lvl 15-35 tournament (for the sake of example). Also see my next idea...
* Players should be able to call "vendettas" against other players, provided they are within the same level range. These vendetta would be lvl restricted, at least for initiation (although not for continuation), and should have some sort of minor penalty (so that the player cannot simply declare a vendetta on everyone he sees). Then, if you have a vendetta against another player, you will (1) get some special bonus from killing them, such as xp or a temporary reprieve from whatever penalty, and (2) you can attack the other player anywhere, even in towns and safe zones.
But that's just my two cents.

But since this is not the appropriate topic to talk about it, let's talk about the topic in question.
There should only be PVP zones in areas that begginers don't usually go to, and all the rest of the map should be a safe zone. That would make them feel more safe and more free to explore the map at their own.

personally... i think it is a little hard to make it as simple as the catagories we were given to vote for. i voted for protection zone, but i guess what it really comes down to is just how you view it. i think that towns should have an area where they have registered voters and each town can have the ability to change what the rules are. for random places outside.... that is a hard one.... i like the idea that it is possilbe to battle anywhere, so this is what i came up with (sorry if some one else already had this idea). ok, so towns are voted for PvP enabled or not. people that are not allied with you are always fair game. Outside town, you cannot attack random people, but... you can challenge any one, and if they accept, then its on! and finally, there should be some areas that are kinda "shady" that u may not want to enter (or at least without good reason) because PvP is enabled.

There should also be a means to avoid farming by mutual Player Killing as seen in some other games : A kills B, then B kills A, and each one earns XP ...
