[Solved] Sorry dumb question about mana.

Post by twiistedkaos »

So out of boredom I decided to start doing the mana seed quest, I've seem to hit a road block though.

I've touched the seed twice, 2nd time absorbing it's power General Magic level 1
I've purified the pond getting nature magic level 2

Now I'm supposed to talk to Sagarth(or how ever you spell it, but I need general magic level 2), but since I've killed too many innocent creatures I have to heal the tree and do the wounded mauloboo quest. In order for em to heal the tree in the desert I have to cast some spell. However my mana bar is still 'locked' and I can't use any spells or get to general magic level 2. Am I missing something?

Edit: Forgot to remove armor. Delete or lock please.
Main Character: Scylar lvl 70+
Alt Character: Folly lvl 40+

Most of the equipment has a penalty on the magic attack. That means, if you wear clothes with too much penalty, it takes your magic attack down to zero and you can't cast spells. Especially gloves, shield and metal armor is bad. Undress some clothes and wait a while for your magic attack to recover, then you'll be able to cast magic

To train you magic abilities, you have to cast spells that give magic experience and alter them. (Doing the same spell several times doesn't give magic exp). You can find a list of magic spells here: http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Spells There's also a column which tells you about the experience each spell gives.
To check you magic experience use the spell '#abizit'. If you find the result too cryptic, on this wiki page: http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... eveling_up is an explanation of the meaning.
