[WIP] Lizard chain mail dress/plate

Indeed, you need more practice at shading.
Especially the back view makes it apparent to me that you don't yet understand shading as a tool to make art appear three-dimensional but rather as a liability. I think Mark's pixel art tutorial illustrates quite well how to use shading on characters:

Regarding the texture: I made the experience that a simple dark checkboard dithering works pretty well for chainmail. You can also apply shading to the dithering, but this is usually not that necessary.
