Leveling Up in Magic

Post by Sondra Metcalf »

How exactly does one level up in magic?

Besides using magic and touching the seed is there anything else I should know about?

Someone mentioned you level up with magic exp. points. Is this true and if so, how do know how much you are at?

You lvl up by practicing spells that use components. Make sure you alternate or you won't gain anything.

There is a spell to view your competence with magic, I don't remember who teaches it. You can also touch the Mana Seed, however. The message it gives about you trying to contain your magic will give you a clue as to how much further you have to go. Or just talk to all the NPCs around the place and see if any of them teach you the spell. I can remember it, but don't want to spoil.

~and it does take a while... there's 99 levels of combat, and will only be 5 of magic...

I remember who teaches that "self evaluating" spell. Try asking very politely for a spell from someone that doesn't accept any students.

No way! I need thousands and thousands of monster points to learn the lightning spell. That's EASY??

So what exactly are you supposed to do when this person, who isn't accepting students tells you that you harm the creatures of the forest and won't talk to you? I already went and healed the sick animal.

That isn't the person that gives you the exp spell. Ask others about her and see what you can do.

What happens if you accidently kill the sick animal? Are you doomed for life and not able learn new spells from that NPC?

Returning to the self evaluating spell, you need to find someone else, someone closer to your place of birth that explicitly tells you they don't accept you or anyone else. And I already almost spoiled it.

I wonter what happens if you're leveling up for the first time. Touching the Mana Seed when you gained 450% quote. Respectively, what means the Mana Seed offers more then readily???

The best way to level magic is to practice magic and the spells that give you exp
if your level 1 start with level one spells that give you a lot of exp
see here for list of magic spells --------------->http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Magic_Spells
then when you become level 2 try level 2 spells that give good exp
healing sick players also helps a great deal and spells that make stuff( also know as transmutation spells) gives a lot of exp
