Please let me know where we stand on this trade, either in this thread, or in the game, as I would prefer a concrete decision and not to leave it in limbo. I'm trading my Iron Ore in exchange for Rubies.

I value Iron Ore at 2400 each, and Rubies at 6000 each, therefore I will exchange 5 of my Iron Ore for 2 Rubies.

I have 45 Iron Ore for trade, which would be equal to 18 Rubies, so that represents the current maximum of what I can trade, although I'm willing to trade in smaller amounts at the same 5:2 ratio.

I'm also willing to farm more Iron Ore, if you have more than 18 Rubies that you wish to trade at this same 5:2 ratio. The maximum number of Rubies I would need is 20, and I would be willing to farm sufficient Iron Ore to meet that, if requested.

First come, first served, although I reserve the right to give priority to larger orders that want all / most of my Iron Ore supply.

Please don't derail this thread with disputes about price, or saying you're not interested but curious about why, or other similar off-thread posts. This is only for those who are interested in making the trade as specified. Thanks

I don't mean to derail, but I really doubt you'll get much takers (not to mention that everyone who can access the forum will know about the wiki and thus we are not naïve as to why). Those with rubies spare are going to be high levels who value things according to drop rate (4.5%:0.2%) rather than the artificial valuations seen on ManaMarket. That being said I'm not in that high level category and do find one of your other offers pretty good. I'd be almost up to trading 2 rubies for 1 diamond (maybe 2 rubies for a diamond and a pearl would be fair all round).

I've seen players sell rubies for 5000 to 6000 gp in their Manaplus shops, just none are doing so at the moment. Drop rate aside, once you've done the Love Triangle quest (50 rubies) and made a +1 strength ring (1 ruby), you have no further use for them. They will continue to steadily collect, since most players farm red slimes for cash, and that's what drops rubies also. Unlike rubies, iron ore is needed in continuous supply by high level players that have chosen a mage build, and are getting their xp with the lightening spell. So, in fact, my initial offer was meant to appeal to the high level players who need iron ore for their spells, but don't want to spend time farming yellow slimes for them, and would prefer not to pay for iron ore with gp either, since they are likely saving their gold for other things (exotic trader, rares, rings, Terranite armor, etc.). So here is an opportunity for them to get something they need in return for something they don't need, and the same for me, as well. The high cost of iron ore in ManaMarket reflects the reality that many high level mages need it in large quantity to level (just like archers need arrows, but way more of a pain in the butt), and they don't want to spend time farming yellow slimes for it. I'm wagering that many would prefer not to spend their gold for it either, but only time will tell if they are willing to part with some rubies instead.

As for your gem trade, I'm fine with trading 1 of my diamonds for 1 of your rubies. 1 of my pearls for 1 of your rubies is fine, as well. They can be separate trades, or one trade, whatever you prefer.

Thank you Techron. I will happily trade my 45 Iron Ore and 2 Infantry Helmets for 20 Rubies, and that meets all my Ruby needs for the Love Triangle quest, too. I'm online now, but I didn't find you on the online list. I'll keep looking.
