I've seen people accuse me of swearing for saying they're a silly head.
Thank you for confirming that this Global Announcement WILL be in the logs. Having worked in law I really don't like saying anything that can't be backed up.

By the way I am am Australian if I say swore, I don't mean "silly head" I mean using words such as the big F!@#

Also it didn't offend me. I thought "Wow, this girl must be under a lot of stress!" I felt really sorry for her and I still do. Reading everything she has written - that has been made available to the public - I sensed a really stressed, very emotional girl, who really needs someone to listen to whatever it is that is bothering her. I felt that real life and TMW together were just too much for her at this time. These were my personal private thoughts as a mother and an INFP.

I wished, WISHED, that Platyna had not resorted to insults, such as calling a certain person "scum". Unfortunately what you find in life is that when you start throwing insults around people stop listening. Luckily for Platyna, I have of course noticed, that she has loyal followers who love her. I hope she finds comfort in this at this upsetting time.

I myself have unfortunately and shamefully resorted to passionate outbursts and insults when I was upset and I will always be embarrassed that I did this. What is most important in relationships is to respect and to listen.

I see that Platyna has again posted and I shall now read that post.

Tasisia: in game we use the word fuck, and you have to live with it. And that I have put an announcement containing this word doesn't mean I can be putsched and suddently kicked out of the team I have basically created and managed for 7 years, especially in such a dirty way, including lies that "everyone" agreed, if most of people didn't knew or did not liked that change.

You have a choice - your favorite game can be managed by a good person, who put a lot of money, time, and effort or by a person who does dirty things to gain control, and who has no social skills, and lies to people to get what he wants and then threats that if he will not get what he wants "there will be no new content updates".

I have a right to call such person a scum.

 Good grief Platyna! I did NOT say you should get kicked out of the game for swearing. I did not say you should be kicked out of the game at all.

Also I do NOT have to live with swearing because I can block or ignore anyone who chooses to swear if I so wish.

Finally, I DO believe that name calling is childish and ill advised.

I await the logs you will be posting for me to read.

It is after 1 AM here in Australia - I have to be up in four hours time.

Good night.

I normally don't get trolled in the game or the forum, but Frost and o11c and jenayla, care more for the game than i can quote! Its all about moving the game forward ! and they do.

I need to give props were props are due .......... i will respond if needed, if not, find me in the game, trying to help move it forward!

With all due respect, I have never been able to make a spawn party (except on Auldsbel)

Now what is expected from an admin is not giving items and organize spawn parties even if this is appreciated by players.

There are at least two wise decisions that Platyna took in the more or less recent times , I doubt that anyone say something against that, even o11c:
  • Frosts nomination as administrator
  • Jenalya's nomination as administrator

Frost did admin jobs that I was never aware of before such as lag investigations, did a lot of GM job to fill the gaps that was left by the real life constraints of others, animated the game in ways that did not occur since a time I don't know about. He even succeeded in getting Platyna's attention about the lags issue: (remind the mtr thread to investigate on network)
Jenalya, though she had no specific interests in admin job filled the gaps and went on administrating the content meanwhile though she also has to deal with he studies.

This simple observation make me feel that any assertion to say Platyna didn't show interest about this game, it's development and administration is simply anger or bad faith.

I could also say or repeat my disagreements with Platyna to show I have some, but it would bring nothing.

On the opposite I'd like to every all GHP members that they almost all recently asked comprehension for RL life issues. Some also refused for some time to push commits because " they have other priorities". I do think that finishing a Thesis requires great indulgence because of the amount of work it represents, both in availability and in declarations. I know by my own experience that it is a difficult period: I barely slept an average of 3h a day while finishing mine. For sure Platyna showed unavailability and thus some game "reality" ignorance but never lack of interest. With WildX I share the opinion that such an important contributor deserved a higher consideration and bigger amount of efforts that those which were done, especially in this period of her life.

Note:
By the way who are the GHP members? who nominated the non GM members? what is a senior developer? why aren't any players inside? I asked these questions on forum and by PM to the people I supposed to be in several months ago (Tue Oct 16, 2012 8:03 am) I still have only one answer: Frost's one and it was to say; "I'll leave it to others to explain how the GHP works. I was never told anything other than what we all know..."

Nard: I have nominated GHP members (silly me, I have nominated them so now they impeach me and tell the community I was doing nothing important, touche). I was also aware of the lack of players representatives - that's why I changed GM nomination process - therefore I consider GMs to be representatives of players, as they are nominating and chosing them.

Is this even possible by the way? Even if it's Elven's game I'm sure Platyna can claim some kind of rights. Am I wrong? I'm saying this because it seems odd to me that someone can just take the game from the server and move it like that without the host's permission.

If Elven agreed for that I will not pursue any legal actions. However I still hope Elven and Bjorn will read all the posting and revert their decision, so everything can be back to normal (I will move TMW server to a different machine, not the target one, as it is at my home, but one with a completely different configuration).

What is interesting - the accounts were wiped out, so all the recent files were removed. But then if Elven will point the DNS back to Platinum and o11c will refuse to hand the files over then I will pursue a legal action indeed.

wow, 1 week absence... and an interesting as well as disgusting news tornado!
i didn't even know there's a server move planned.
looks like a quick action to get rid of the long year dictator of hearts.

all the reasoning i read here from the 'new' owners/staff/whatever is more than arguable.

as platyna seems to be the only staff member that didn't sense that/got informed (imo 1 week sure ain't a reasonable time frame for such a move IF aggreement of all staff members would have been planned!), that's indeed a sign of putsch and betrayal.... in a community project.

demanding plain talk would be a farce i suppose... well nice games you guys keep playing. says alot about personality.

i know, though, that this action has been the only solution to perform this step IF platyna would have veto-ed that plan.

but i didnt respond to spread conspiracy theories, i'm just a hopeless seeker.
.
.
.

platyna, you failed to 'protect the data' when giving privileges to people you didn't know well...
maybe you were a bit harsh, untouchable or something else in the past that drove these people into an awestruck towards you (concerning honesty).
anyways another lesson in life... i really hope you can get past that lake of anger and sadness soon!

well, i have no idea who the new owners really are... for the players sake hopefully not affiliated with g00gle =D
so where is the server and who runs it? clarification needed...

Sharing the access to files was absolutery neccessary to keep the project up and running. Besides that, you expressed the thoughts of mine and many other persons.

I think Bjorn and Elven should react quickly.

GMs are in no way player's representatives.:
  1. The forum thread is not an election but a poll.
    • an election is time limited
    • an election doesn't stop after there is a result but at the time limit or when all voters have voted
    • proxy use may allow to cheat the poll
  2. GMs are chosen to be cops and administration repesentatives: as soon as a player is GM he/she is supposed to defend administration/content development/GHP point of view and that's what they do. Thus they have to be chosen because of their wiseness and fairness
  3. From what I saw; GM's usually well describe the user's opinion but are often influenced by their GM job, just as developers often have a biased point of view on the stuff they work on (and it is normal).
  4. GM do not represent various cultural feelings (it is probably impossible to avoid and maybe not a requirement at this satge of game development)
I know that you fought for and created forum to allow players to speak rather freely, but on some occasions it can be interesting to have player's frank feedback in different ways. Development team is now conscious of that and have now a (tiny :() testers (non-GM, non-dev) group and organized in-game meetings.

I am aware about flaws of the system, but it was for now a best possible solution.

Unfortunately i can't say anything on lags's technical issue that plagued the server and if it could be fixed remaining on the old server.
That said, I play actively since 2008, except in the last few months. I am on Platyna's side because she had to be informed in time and this thing had to be discussed with her and all the community first. Also she has always proven to be serious and impartial, while among the new administratorsi there are good elements but also someone who in the past has proven not to be mentally well balanced.

http://tnij.org/lag-diag

Three pages lag diagnostics, made by putschers. Machine was thoughly checked and proven to be not in fault. Don't worry, I made a copy.

So o11c, is it nice to lie to the community to get special powers, you don't need to develop the game?

Whos reputation is now compromised? Mine surely not - I did not received my admin powers due to lies, plots and putsch.

The server still lags. You cannot play this game if there are more than 40 people online. I don't care who "rules" the GHP, I care about playing this damn game. SO FIX IT!

All that Platyna did for this game is rule it like a dictator. And she got the same treatment as the dictators from eastern europe got in 1989. I think you should ban her, this will prevent her from making other forum threads and whining. That will show her what nice people you are. <o11c>: Thank you for hosting all these years and for all that you did, we'll take this over from here, adios *door slam*.

The next person who I think should get banned is o11c. I bet he will turn into a power hungry dictator and will start banning people and closing threads as he wishes.

"All this fighting will affect us (the players) and we won't play this game anymore because we care about where the game is hosted and who developes stuff" said NO PLAYER EVER

Now that we have cleared all of this do something to fix the LAG!!!

Hello all :)

I hold saying some words near and dear. Like i said, i am now a very long time here (... and still not reached level 99 :P) ... and i met & talked much with many of the actually GMs, DEVs and ADMINs at Manaworld, when they were 'only' players (...probably they remember me) ... so i believe i have received a fair impression probably.

About the GM team:
Its almost impossible to complain about or to get in trouble with GMs, if you don't ignore the rules. They doing a good job, if you have a problem, you can whisper them and they try to help as well as in any way possible! In my opinion they would still decide well whats wrong or right without forcing a strict rule system (for example if the follow-mode is used just for fun or botting). I am still thinking that a GM of the European timezone like Tux9th would be a good support for the GM team. In a nutshell: fair decisions, no might abusing, have a sympathetic ear and they haven't forgot to be players too :)

About the DEV team:
I remember a time at past, when nothing (no new content) happened over months and people are only waiting on next event... that's really different at the moment. The world is in change! Slowly but continuously :) thanks to all who like to spend their free time for this project. To continue with DEV meetings at Manaworld and the development- & planned-thread at forum would be really welcome! But its always sad to hear if well skilled DEVs leaving project, then i always ask me why this happen and if it is really so complicated to get all under one hat.

Last but not least ADMINs Jenalya and Frosty:
I can only say very positive words about both. Probably the best is that you can talk with them about everything, its no problem to contact both and they try to help fast, that is my impression. I would say both are close to the player community and have a sympathetic ear for everything. Both are well chosen, friendly and I trust both :)

I don't know why the communication failed over so long time :( and ended in such a situation now. What would be the consequences & changes, if you get control back? I only want to say, there are really good, skilled, helpful & friendly players... i don't want to loose anyone...
