My experience with mmorpgs says that the dialog would be more like that:
"u skills?"
"fire32/swd27"
"wanna go cave"
"k"

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
I don't believe that you ever get rid of that kind of players! I think it should be left to the player what classname his character should have like in Morrowind.
Now THAT would be confusing... then the classname would say "1337 fireswrd d00d". I'd say it's not really a good idea.
And I didn't say I wanted to get rid of those kind of players. I could always cut them to slacks if I feel like it. ^^

well. you will know that you have one of those players in front of you when you see at his classname the players, who call themselfs like this will talk in the same way, so sooner or later you are confronted with the 1337 language anyway.
Or do as Blizzard did (highly moderated role playing servers). But that'll only happen on a really long term and with exponentially increased resources. We won't probably be the ones to implement that ourselves.
