Can someone give me exact numbers of what the Astral Soul Skill does?

I know it improves your magic attack and after I asked the search function, I found out, that it also nullifies a limit of maximum magic attack (source).

Are there numbers of how much it increases your magic attack?
Also I'd like to know where this limit is set.

I can't give exact numbers as i have never read the script. I don't even know the functions on which magic attack is based.
Though, i can give you examples of what i'm used to, and the max i've been able to reach.

For now i've in game a mage level 70 focused on astral soul at it's max level.
My equipment is :
* wiz hat : int +3 ; matt +5
* sorcerer robe : matt +20
* wooden staff : matt +5
* cotton boots : matt +1
* grimoire : matt +5
My current magic attack is 688. I'm not sure if it will increase a bit with levelling or not, so i won't advance it.
Without all this stuff, my magic attack is 585, and with nothing but a warlord plate, it deacreases up to 386. I can still make hits of around 400 with #ingrav and plated.
With all my equipment, i can already do hits of slitghlty more than 1000 on lady skeletons.


About high levels, i mean level 99, without astral soul skill focused on and without any item equiped (only 99 int), i get a matt of 244.
With still nothing but focused on astral soul at it's higher level i get a matt of 618.
If i equip items to reach the "max reachable" i'm able to reach a magical attack of 931.
Sapphire ring + wiz hat + cotton boots + wooden staff + grimoire + lazurite robe.

Actually, my best advice would be not not ruin you for a monster skull helmet or a high priest crown. Without the existence of the lazurite robe, they're ok. But now, with the lazurite robe, you get way more equipped with your wiz hat than with one of those highly priced hats. The fact is that with wiz hat + lazurite robe + sapphire ring, you're able to reach 110 in intelligence, which gives you a bonus in magical attack.
If i keep all but change my with hat for the high priest crown or monster skull helmet, i'm back to 107 in int, and my magical attack is decrease to respectively 872 and 860.

With matt of 931, i easily do hits of more than 1300 to fire skulls and lady skeletons, and 1100 on jacko's for example.


So, maybe the limit is not 931, but for now i really think it is it, or at least it's really close to it.


I would recommend you to always be focused on astral soul at max level being a mage, orelse the experience of it is pretty bad in my opinion.

Finally, hope that my numbers, essentially practical ones, might have helped you.

Still can someone help with the exact numbers? You can also just tell me where to look them up so I can search for myself.

You mean you would like to be able to hit monsters physically and nicely magically ? I'm not good to make a mix between the two. Or at least i don't like it, because every time i've tried i got or a bad archer, or a bad mage (to my opinion) so... But that's to test anyway, maybe some other people like it ?

Also, do you know the test server ? About stats, skills and equipment, you can try everything you want on it ! This way you can save money instead of trying it on official server.

Once on it the basic following commands might help you (examples), type it in any chat tab :
@warp 007-1 (warps you near Hurnscald)
@zeny 1000 (gives you 1000 gp)
@item coal 10 (gives you 10 coals)
@item 4001 10 (gives you 10 coals) (4001 is the id number for the coal)
@who (gives you the list of online players)
@goto Kazenawa (warps yourself to where i am, if i am online of course)

If you want to change you level, stats, skills and everything else, there's a debug npc in each town. Feel free to try !

Yes, exactly, I want to hit monsters physically and also enjoy throwing some lightnings around.
It's definitely possible, since I already have DEX99 and INT40 at only Level 78 (VIT and AGI are fine).
With a higher level and better equipment (Sourcerer Robe) #ingrav will do good damage... well, as long as I'm focussed on Astral Soul as it seems.

You're right, I'll try out the test server which seems to be the best.
I've already been about to test it a few weeks ago, but didn't until now.
Might take until the weekend but I can report my experience here then

Once you have enough dex to nicely hit monsters (with a bow, i imagine), in my opinion you should really focus on int to increase magic attack at the maximum you can. To me, in your case, agi seems to be a luxury no ? Also, you'll still stay a rather low and weak archer, and at a low level your magical abilities won't be at their maximum, so maybe a bit of vit would also be good, especially to recover faster. Remember that without hp, your heals are also much less efficient...

I think that's something to consider, depending on your way of playing. But in the end, you're the only final user of it

INT 70 is already fine, but of course you can play much with AGI, DEX, VIT, INT and maybe also LUK.
It's up to you, which stats of these you prefer

I'm not sure yet too, but I know for sure, that I will be satiesfied.
