new change to the game

Post by prsm »

GM's really don't have a great job, we ban people for breaking the rules, disrupting the game, just causing chaos. it is time to change that.

Under the new administration, we have decided to raid accounts that have been permanently banned for botting and such, and use their items to give back to the community. We are recovering items to be introduced back to all that truly play within the rules.

Many great items are coming back to those that can't get them. Be ready! and be prepared!

We're touching only accounts that are permanently banned. Otherwise, these will be deleted (with all their items) in a purge anyway.

This really is about returning things into the game, and making some fun at the same time.

Will european and asian players also have a chance to get a piece of the cake (time zones!)?

Melkior and Silent Dawn are both from Europe.

I don't exactly know when Asian people are online. Maybe you could suggest a UTC time which is good for Asian people. Maybe GM can orientate themselves at your suggestion.

If only we could make a script that would make a random monster drop a random item from the bank randomly across a bunch of different mobs on the server.

I don't know either since I'm from Europe. I just noticed, that there are quite a few people from the far and middle east in TMW (never met anyone from Africa here). Maybe early european afternoons might still be good online times for asian people, idk?

Right now we are on summer time/MEST. That ranges from UTC+1 (GB) to UTC+3 (Eastern Europe).

It's not my intention to tell the GMs how to do their jobs. I just thought this warants some consideration. :alt-6:

Asian on timezone UTC+7 here. UTC 12:00 is good for me (19:00 in local time)

In my opinion would be a nice idea to put an NPC in Hurnscald who sells lottery tickets (only one per account/IP address) for 2-3 days (to give all players the opportunity to participate), and then to draw the numbers in game.
What do you think about it? :)

That's not possible. NPCs cannot see IP addresses. Also, some people can change IP address any time they like.
