The signing of the Mana Carta

Post by Speiros02 »

What we need is a signing of the Mana Carta...most constitutions are build around the Magna Carta, and the ideology that made it up.

Maybe Manaworld needs one...any ideas?

Are you talking about something like https://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php ... ound_rules?
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

That's another issue we are currently dealing with internally.

It's the same problem. What's the point of having a constitution if it's being ignored? What is needed it a REAL constitution that works.

So you suggest that when a constitution is violated (or it is suspected that a constitution is violated - that's still open for debate), your solution is to trash the constitution and create a new one?

No, I suggest to uphold the constitution. Trash those who refuse to follow it.

If indeed it is not being followed, then the question comes to the perspective of a review...the review will include the obvious "Why did it not work?, What can we do to fix it? What can we do to prevent it happening next time?", and the application of such.

It is good to see some rules/regulations, but better if they are applied. There should be a measure of unity amongst the committee Crunch, and the sad part is that the in-fighting is allowed to leave the boardroom as such, and out into the streets. Yeah, the magna carta was a list that was a way of controlling the out-of-order system of the time, and in a similar manner, yes. It is needed by way of application to ensure some form of peace amongst players. I mean, what a great game, but what a shame that progression is halted because of battling admin/devs. Good people at loggerheads with each other. Seriously, there is a methodology that is missing from here, and it is a relatively small thing. It isn't the actual disagreements. It's the way it spreads through the game as an "X vs Y" attitude, when really, it's a management problem. Based on this, yes, the management system...not the management TEAM or people, needs an overhaul. What is missing is the success of the review process.

If anyone thinks I don't love this game, I had this as "My favourite game" on my YouTube, until I took my YouTube down. You should know how much I enjoy this game. Still, the longevity of this game, or the perspective of growth is limited by the choked perspective of in-fighting. Apart from that, the rest gets worked out anyway.

Best wishes to all on here. I hope you all succeed, and enjoy this game as "a game"...yet at the same time, we can make this game successful by keeping certain attitudes in check, and not bringing it all out in this way. Freedom of speech isn't just open to anything. There are limits on this...discrimination, abuse, etc. Therefore, we should also have an "attitude" or a "culture" that Manaworld intends to show the world...an "image" as such, that is like our vision and mission statements, when spoken of in a business sense.

The positive nature of Manaworld should be re-highlighted, and focussed on. It's a good game, and it's worth it. Seriously, if these are the rules, then is there an answer to the questions as mentioned previously? The three questions in the first paragraph. If not, then let's make it work. We've a very good team on here, with lots of volunteers, most of who are happy to follow direction, and on top of that, creativity overflows. So all it needs is good direction, and probably better problem-solving methods. For the most of us, good job team...for the rest...good job for being here, but can't we try to work our differences out? Cheers all.
