Why should anyone be interested in reading whispers/mails in a game? <.<
I believe eveyone has better things to do than checking when you plan to do Cindy's for the 123rd time.

If there's no interest in reading whispers and mail, then nobody on the server side should be able to read them. The fact that you're arguing in favour of granting people the ability to exploit users and invade their private messages should worry users of this game.

If you need to leave afk messages which are THAT private then probably an in game mail-bot is not the best route. Use something else more secure, like a private courier. We can communicate clearly that it is not secure mail and make sure the players understand. We're not talking about messaging your passwords or details of your love life here, just things like "I'll try to log on tomorrow evening" or "There's a friend that needs help with a quest...", things like that.

I agree with Shainen completely, if you are going to say something private don't use a bot that you clearly know it can be read... You don't like it? Don't use it.
