with the land bridge, it was no question to meet another human soul. people walked vice verca just for fun, out of nothing. with disabling the landbridge tulimshar died and hurn was the only spot you reach. when i started tmw, tulimshar had a market square. in there i saw pressing the buttons does something. outside of it, and it was the next door, were lots of people. they didnt really talk but fought the "easy" scorpions there. i died many times in joining them, had no long way and fun. to be exact, it made me an addict. the big thing, when bold enought to look further was to find green ground. at about lvl 7 i liked the feeling of accomplishment for having the ability to sit by pressing s, at about lvl 30, i was happy to find the green land. in there sat many many people and i came to know, thats the* place after you started. they where helpfull, friendly, trolls and bad. i loved it.

to sum it up in short:
as a dev(i saw you have no real idea after some time if you dont start listen to players), you want this connection between these areas. if i was you i would redraw the infamous map just to fit players behaviour. to be true, design by behaviour is the future. make the world walkable also by clicks and types, not only the ferry.

as a player, i whish this game gives me the feeling of having accomplished something, the more the better. sit, for example, was such thing for me and it kept me.

the grinding in tmw as i knew it had some real benefit, even though grinding isnt a popular topic. the way it was in tmw was perfect. i liked just sitting here and grinding, plus, i could afford some concentration and streght potions with it in the afterwards. you see the benefit, a totaly active playground with opensource power.

i whish you go this path, the one of giving players the feeling of accomplishment and thus some fun.
not too hard, not too easy, not too complicated, maybe walkable.

my 2 cents as one who started loving this game in 2008.

I notice something as a player:
The sea slimes population is low after the changes in Tulimshar bridge/desert areas, later with the ownship of "#alonzialonzo island" as GM island, and lately with the spawn erraditacion from GM island. ¿The global warming killed the sea slimes?
Sea Slime = Pearl = :(
