Upgraded to .21 - Can no longer get to forest map

I upgraded recently to 0.21. Ater this I can no longer get to the forest area. I talked to the nomads and they no longer offer the option, the one just talks about wanting a tent and the other talks about what a nice place the desert is. What gives?

there is an opening right by the nomads that you walk through that will take you to the forest area. you have to walk through the beach first, but you will make it to the forest area if you just keep following the path.

and you didnt die becaue of the aggresive monsters
