How to creat a server?

Hello!
I'd like to creat my own server to play with 1-2 friends...
I searched the wiki/forum, but wasn't successful...
So...
1/ is it even possible to creat a server at home?
2/ how to?

As the Mana World is a free game, I think it would be cool to explain a little how to re-use the code, creat a server, ...

But... good work! The game is really better than 1 year ago, when I started to play it!

Currently we use eAthena for our server. Our own server isn't fully functional yet.

It is definitely possible, you should get our modified server package and the server-data module from svn.

I think it would be interesting to have a wiki on how to creat a server, it would help people to creat servers for their native languages and make the game known in their respective country!
A wiki on how to re-use the game contents would be cool too... I mean things like changing graphics/sound/creating maps... This way people could creat forks of the game, and finally help the mana worl's developement...

Considering the quick development of our own server in the last time i think that it isn't necessary to explain how to set up an eAthena server. When the first version of the server sources is available for download we will of course provide a setup tutorial.

Changing graphics and sounds is not worth a tutorial: you just exchange the files in the data directory. The file format we are using (.png for graphics and .ogg for sounds) are common formats that can be edited with common programs.

Interesting might be to change the animation sequences. A description of the animation definition files (file extension: .xml) can be found on the wiki, although it is not 100% accurate:

geez why don't you help me instead of feeding me that crap. Making a server shouldn't take 5 hours, why don't you make a walkthrough or something for beginners.

I too would like to know how to create servers and I must agree with ssbm in that you are very vague and I don't understand how one must proceed to make a TMW home server.
I would be grateful if you would take some of your time to explain in further details.
