This is only a sketch of my idea, at the moment it isn't ready....
Shrooms could drop it...

I like it, we should have more useful items that can be added as particular monsters drop. IMHO you should do the sheets for both hats.

I like the hats too.

Specially that kind of items would be perfect for crafting. The evil mushroom drops a mushroom (it already does).

Then you can craft a hat, if you know the receipt

You mean about both? Because I don't think the first needs anything, maybe a rastband (Is that the name? I mean the thingie you put under your chin to keep your hat.)

Somehow the border between the hat and the character just seems a bit harsh on the side views.

EvoL Online already uses those hats. We can just copy them.
