Scheduled Activities on Sundays and Thursdays Every Week!

Post by Wombat »

Scheduled Activities

Sundays

HMC Clan Meeting
Organizer: Holy Mana Clan
One of the oldest player groups in The Mana World, they hold regular meetings to discuss matters of clan importance and socialize with HMC membership and other individuals in TMW community. Meetings are open to all.
When: Sundays, 18:00 UTC in the Hurnscald Town Inn

HMC Organized Event
Organizer: Holy Mana Clan
After HMC holds their regular meetings they usually have an event that varies week by week. Many times they are puzzles, trivia, races, character dating and other social events of interest.
When: Sundays, usually starting around 19:00 UTC in the Hurnscald Town Center. HMC events are open to all!

"Around the World" Raid
Organizer: Wombat
The "Around the World" raid is a moving raid where a mob of characters gather and attack locations together, often clearing the rooms and seizing them from the monsters for brief periods and then moving to another location, in search of xp, drops and fun!
When: Every Sunday starting at 22:00 in Hurnscald Town Center

Checkpoints
These checkpoints are so the raid spends a short amount of time in each area, but also ensures the raid moves smoothly should the party get scattered. The raiding party will attempt to make each checkpoint on time. Wayward members are encouraged to move to the next checkpoint if they lose where the raiding party is.
22:00 UTC #1 Raiding party organizes in Hurnscald Town Center, moving to the mines north of Hurnscald
22:10 UTC #2 Raiding party meets at the Magic House, moving into the Desert Mountains
22:20 UTC #3 Raiding party meets at the Snake Pit (Hat Maker's Cave) south entrance, moving into the cave
22:30 UTC #4 Raiding party moves back to Hurnscald Town Center with the option to repeat the schedule for the second half of the hour.

Tips
- Each raid can have a recognized "first" and a "second". The first is the first one through the door to move monsters away from the raiding party, opening doorways and preventing the party from being overwhelmed. The second slowly advances, keeping most of the party around them to keep up a strong offense against the monsters while protecting the party members from being singled out by monster swarms.
- Layer or "Tanking" is when a party moves their characters together on the same spot. When tanked, the party can decimate monsters by focusing their attacks together while creating a stronger defense against monster swarms.
- Take advantage of the Soul Menhir Stones. If you are killed too far from the party, it is discouraging to travel halfway across the world just to meet up with the party again. Be sure to touch the closest stone to the raid should time permit it. The scheduled meet up points are used to keep a party together even if a monster swarm overwhelms a party, often scattering the party.
- Be sure to give time for people already participating to meet at the next check point before departing, but also be sure not to discourage the party by waiting for wayward or afk members. Leaving promptly after the scheduled check point time should ensure this, but wayward members can also be whispered to the check point to ensure a significant party presence.
- If the raiding party seems mixed between lower and higher level characters, attempt to find alternatives for the lower level characters if they don't seem able to move along the scheduled path, but avoid compromising the fun of the group just to accommidate a few lower level characters. There will be more raids in the future and it gives them a reason to level to be included in future raids.
- As a suggestion raids should include 50+ and up characters that have finished the demon mask quest and has capable equipment to handle monster swarms. This is so moving from the Hurnscald Mines to the Magic House can go smoothly without losing lower level characters.

Screeny Parties
Organizer: Skipy
Come to the "screeny party" with your wardrobe handy! People will socialize, have fun and enjoy each other's wardrobes. At times, the party goers will attempt to make interesting group "pictures" that can be posted in the forums and on player pages, so be prepared to strike a pose!
When: Sundays, 23:00 UTC Hurnscald Town Center

Thursdays

Thursday Midtime Raid
Organizer: Wombat
The Thursday "Midtime Raid" can take on the same format as the Sunday "Around the World" raid or if it can't get a sizable raiding party together, it will concentrate its attacks on particular rooms in the Hurnscald Mines or the Snake Pit, to be determined when the raid begins.
When: Thursdays at 12:00 UTC starting in Hurnscald Town Center. The party will assess its size and power level before beginning, decide if they want to go "Around the World" or simply pick certain rooms and move around randomly. All tips and suggestions for the "Around the World" raid can apply to these raids, including checkpoints, 1sts and 2nds, tanking and other ideas on tactics and strategy.

PvP Hour
Organizer: Wombat
PvP hour is a once a week event where the particular pvp game is played. Every 1st Thursday, a PvP tournament will be organized, while off Thursdays a variety of PvP games, both individual and team based, will be played. Details on the game will be announced on the given day. Player imput on what type of PvP game to be played is encouraged.
When: Thursdays at 23:00 UTC gathering in Hurnscald Town Center, then moving to the PvP arena shortly after gathering and discussing game rules for the hour. "Warlord vs. Crusaders: King of the Arena" will be the default game on off Thursdays.
Current character is "Abolish".
