Event Idea

I got an idea of an event to consolidate the community and to revive the snake pit. The event would be that the players would need to form teams of 5-6 players (3 new players so below a certain level) and 2-3 high levels players. The teams will be asked to rescue a lost GM in the pit (so escort him/her out safely). The team would enter 1 by 1 in the pit. The teams members would need to be registered on a post, and the lvs given of course.

Any thoughts on that idea will be appreciated

Nice idea. Guild events are fun and such, but I think official TMW events would put much more life into the community.

Should be a fun event unless the certain GM is clumsy and bumps into every snake, cough cough.

I also like it. Getting events off where everyone is aware of them seems to require a lot of "spreading the word" every week. I attempted a few scheduled events, but turnout is higher for events that are organized on the spur of the moment. When players are made immediately aware of them they are more likely to take a break from what they are doing to show for a short event.

Seems like 1/2 hour is ample time for most events. It is only a break for those that are working on levels and it is fun for those that want more out of the game.

Maybe this can be a "day long" event where every few hours it is done. Runners between GMs and players and global announcements could enhance organizing attempts.

Just some thoughts. You have more experience with events than I do doors. I'd appreciate your incite on how you'd like to see this pulled off.

From the feedbacks I got in game and here, that event will surely happend.

Next question is if you (the tmw players) find that holding it this saturday is doable (as you know, we'll need the participation of many people in this players/non-players)

If you want to register your team now, do it, if we got enough teams, we might do the event and if you like it, we might hold some events like that from time to time.

We need to know the names & levels of the players in each team. Reminder 5-6 players in each team (3 lvs < 65 are needed)

Anything to promote team-work and esprit de corps with the TMW community is a great idea.

If the teams were comprised of a wide range of levels that would make the experience for all much more rewarding.

Each Team needs 5 players - one from each Deca level (so someone from the 60's,70's,80's and 90's)
now the fifth players level would be determined by the level of the other four, and using a base number of 400.(+/- 10% which is 4)

For Example your team is 65,75,85,95.
The total = 320.(400-320 = 80) The fifth player therefore must be with 4 points of 80

Example #2 your team is 69,79,89,99.
The total = 336..(400-336 = 64) The fifth player therefore must only be with 4 points of 64

Example # 3 your team is 61,75,89,98.
The total = 323..(400-323 = 77) The fifth player therefore must be within 4 points of 77

This takes away the ability to stack the deck so to speak. If you have alot of higher players, then you will have a very low fifth.

I realize that this might require a little bit of thought, but it is also going to encourage intermingling with people that you currently do not know.

I would be willing to help with the administration of this, or to further explain.

With lvl 60 its hard kill snakes and you are sayng lvl 40-60???lol
At the lower lvl is 65 to kill snakes but its hard in the same you cant exp much in snakes with lvl 65

You aren't really trying to kill snakes to get exp, this is for an event..

Yes, lvl 40 or even lower. If they spend enough stat points for VIT just for the event they can atleast hang with the higher lvl's. And that's the whole point of having the lower lvl'ed players. Makes it more fun. And harder.

could always let as many people be in a teams they want, just so long as the average exp level is bellow 75 ?? (total players exp / #players)
