Actually, developers might consider wheter to make this ability available for gm/devs (like unequip all character weapons/items. This isn't the first time some people avoided a bugfix by not unequiping (I remember the double vests, the red cap that turned into a candy but was still equiped and so on... ). Having the power to unequip all active and inactive characters their equipment would be a handy tool after fixing these bugs. Especially now when the bug is also an exploit, providing some leveling benefits over other characters.jaxad0127 wrote:GMs can forcefully drop a player's items, but not unequip stuff.
Very lame
Re: Very lame
In game characters: "5t3v3" and "L "
Re: Very lame
Didn't think about that, but your so right Balth. So many new comers could lose interest because people are stealing their kills.

Re: Very lame
I once had an idea for TMWServ to allow more character customization: The ability to polymorph equipment to look like something else but still have the old stats. To do so you need both the item you want to polymorph, the item you want to polymorph it into and maybe some more or less rare reagents. When you do so the two items are fused into one with the functionality of the first but the look of the second.
It would be quite complicated on eAthena, but with the planned crafting system on TMWServ where all equipment is completely unique anyway it shouldn't be that difficult.

Re: Very lame
I never said it was good for the game if you take the time to read my post. I said Radiant brought up a good point, and that the DEV's have been doing a good job with the new updates that i thought were kewl. For instance the new healing effect and new logheads and new maps that have been added as of late as well as fixing the bug!
But i also understand where Radiant was coming from in her post that being able to equip stuff to make you avatar different or unique is a good idea too. It just needs to be implemented as something in the game if others think it's a good idea like a cloak you can equip with armor that has no defense value that you can dye or something similar. Just basically a idea or thought to what radiant was posting. Notice where i said bugs are bad?
Anywayz that's my 2 cents. For what it's worth.

Was that to me or Steve? I know what you meant and what radiant meant. It was more of me thinking out loud.
Having unique avatars would make the game better but not as a bug.

I like crush's idea be cool to have for example the magician be able to polymorph items together to create new magical ones or something similar. Probably a lot of work tho.

Re: Very lame
yeah, might get more use out of the bleach npc too. since people would want to bleach the armour back if they dyed it a color they no longer liked. Instead of just getting new clothes. It would be expensive to get new warlord plate to dye.

Re: Very lame
I am still seeing people run around in Robes or using a ranged setzer and freely admit they are abusing this bug. If we can't get an automated way to fully remove this bug from the game (everyone logs in with every item unequiped), would it be reasonable for GM's to put players on the spot and ask them to requip right then and there? GM's have taken it as their responsibility to work with players in the past to remove bug/abuse gains from the game. Doorsman asked that I delete 13kk I obtained after discovering a bug with the banker. (Yes, I reported it, Yes they already fixed it, Yes I deleted the 13kk). My point is this bug is an exploit and is providing players with an unfair advantage over others.5t3v3 wrote:Actually, developers might consider wheter to make this ability available for gm/devs (like unequip all character weapons/items. Re: Very lame
I agree. It could be treated like botting. Maybe not to the extent of banning the players, but if caught the GM's should act right on the spot and ask them to remove the items.
If they refuse further action can be taken.

GMs could force a player to reequip their stuff by warping them to the botcheck map and leave them there until they do so.

Or just warp them to botcheck, and force-drop everything.Crush wrote:GMs could force a player to reequip their stuff by warping them to the botcheck map and leave them there until they do so.
