odd things we've seen

Post by DonCBen »

Well, they were odd to me. And they happened back to back. First was the one that actually is weird:
I was sitting in a field, a squirrel ran down one side of my screen and then just... died. It fell over dead and dropped a gambroge herb and an acorn. I had been sitting there for quite some time, and had not been attacking anything since entering that particular map, so it wasn't lag.
Anyway, the second thing, which probably isn't that weird, I might just be out of the loop:
I just killed a Mouboo. It was the third I have killed since playing. This was west of Auldsbel's cabin. When I defeated it, it spun around like 4 times and disappeared. wtf?

Yes, they would be the Suicide Squirrels and the Spinning Teleporting Mouboo Which Never Die, very rare creatures, appear only once every 999 hours.

~did you even believe that?

The squirrel, I admit, was probably a glitch due to lagging on my computer. However, has nobody heard of this spinning Mouboo thing? And go ahead people, wright about your own strange experiences here. And as I think about it, there may not be a lot of weird glitches in TMW, so tell us about some other games if you need too. This topic is going nowhere!

haven't seen the mouboo. Today while sitting recovering HP, saw a clover patch spontaneously explode in red and yellow sparkles, with no-one around!

I am a developer, I never see strange stuff. Only get reports about them.

In the case of the suicidal squirrel and the explosive clover patch, It could've been an invisible GM. It is possible.
I don't know anything about spinning mouboos, It might've been drunk. :?
Sometimes, it is better to forgive your foes, this annoys them the most.

If the monsters were near the edge of the map, it could have been someone with a bow or the Flaming Arrow spell.
As to the Spinning Mouboo.... well, nothing personal, but what had you been eating/drinking/smoking before you saw it?
