How to know if a friend is online?

Hey everyone, I was wondering how I could know if my friends were online or not. When I go to the area with the friends list, I don't see anything that tells if they are online or offline.

There is this useful link which shows you everyone playing right now:

And then there is this useful page which can be used to create online icons for any character (like the one in my signature):
http://tmw.cestovkapohoda.cz/
You could create a html page with buttons for all of your friends and use it as a makeshift online list. You don't even have to upload the page somewhere. Loading it from local should be sufficient.

You could also look for Qoal's client which has the online list built in as a button.

Seems, that the button isn't working for me. A inbuild list would be better.

Joining a party with them will show their online status

like feline monstrosity was saying: whisper them. if they are offline, you will get a message saying so. if they are online, the whisper will go through.

You can also join #tmw-war on freenode and type !online [regex]

tmw-raider will display a list matching your search expression.

Wow that was a lot of diffrent answers. Most of them are right but the qoal patch is the easiest way to see. You can download it at qoal.110mb.com It has a built in online list =)
