Crash on register

When I open TMW I get the splash screen and login prompt, when I enter my data and hit Register the game hangs I get this error:

open /dev/sequencer: No such file or directory

I'm running Ubuntu linux.

Try to check tmw.log as well, maybe it can give further infos, even if I doubt it...
