so you dont like the gm's

Post by prsm »

so you don't like the gm's ........

when you first start the game, there are 5 rules presented! Not one of them is hard to follow. I have played the game for a year now and watched player after player abuse these rules. Don't get me wrong the majority of people in this game are great, that's why I am still here. But you have to admit we have our share of people that take advantage of those rules. Not to mention the people in the game that dont technically break the rules, but still manage to push the boundries to there limits

All we have to police these rules are the GM's and I think they do one hell of a good job!!! and what do they get for there service, raked over the coals .......... and why, have you been a gm and tried to do what they do.
The answer is "No". But they still get criticized, and they keep grinding. Do they make mistakes? probable, DONT YOU!

Atticus Finch said "don't judge another till you have walked a mile in there shoes", words to live by!

So all you nay sayers, step up to the plate and get that job that you have been so openly criticizing ...... that is, if you can.

Doorsman, Masterkenobi, Katze, Delasia, CaptainAwesome and Vink_gm keep up the good work. Not everyone can do what you do. My hats off to you all!

Lets get back to playing the game, and playing with honor! Not this petty school yard bickering.

You have to live with these people. Use the ignore function..

The GMs do good work, but often sucks too. But who cares? Just enjoy the game, and dont get to serious with it...

Of course not, but if it wakes up one person, its job was served.

I support the gms, even del. I do. But she crossed the line. A line that has been around before computers games existed. She violated the trust of gm and player.

That needs to be taken care of.

I have never and will never ask her to be removed. I just want it to be understood what she did.

What did she did?
She went used her powers as gm to help and enable the abuse of other players.

She then lied about what she did.

And then betrayed players for the sake of her own skin.

All for a personal attack against someone.

These things have happened before and will happen again.

This hurts the reputations of everyone who could do something about this but chooses not too.
Its call being complicit through inaction.

For godsakes, I moved Nitemares five squares thinking I was doing him a favor cause he WAS not fighting and had moved out in the open during a botcheck. A skull was beating on him, and I moved him back to the stack for protection.
I did not USE my powers to facilitate or to enable abuse by anyone. IF Booth was abusing it was unbenouced to me.
Again with the lying thing....I was asked why, I told why, there was no lying.
Personal attack, against Dayve/Nitemares ?? With the personal information we have shared in the past, and you think i would move him 5 squares to personally attack him... ok someone needs a reality check.

If Nitemares/Dayve wants to make issues of this, perhaps ALL the cards should be put on the table. All the history be put out so all can see.

Violation of trust happened along time ago between two players, and it wasnt me that did the violating.

I wasnt personal by me....I let go of that along time ago........too many other stressors ingame and out to worry about without piling someone elses insecurites on top of it.

What I take from this is that the incident your posted in your link was not the incident that created the "violation"

with all do respect Dark Water, i made this post to give the GM'S kudo's. It was not meant for you to re-vent about something that happened to you or anyone else, really!!!!

your complaint was vented in your forum post.

Gouki, you comment proves you right! the post changes little .......... sadly so

The world would be a better place if we offered flowers instead of insults.

Odd title for a "kudo's" post

well I would think complaining about the kind of posts put on a tread with this kind of title to seem a little like a double standard. If you wanted this to be a big "Way to go GMs!" thread then your subject should reflect that or confusion is bound to happen.
