Can we respect the summoned creature a bit more?

Post by Dyna »

Ok so since I was forced to learn magic and turn myself into a war-mage I decided to let the monsters fight for me. Summoning is the least offensive to archers and warriors and mages alike...so I wouldnt get flack from anyone.

I have one slight issue...others coming and slaughtering my summoned creatures! This takes a root and either a slime/spike/fur...I did not summon these so others could get the free XP! I summoned them on MY dime to kill things for me.

Can we show some decency and respect? If you see maggots or mushrooms where they dont belong (ie the skull cave) DO NOT ATTACK them...in town, kill all you want...out of town please dont :| Its frustrating enough as it is knowing I could ingrav til the sun comes down but I dont because I show you warriors and archers some respect

Wishing things were different...hoping for better now.

+1
I admit, that I haven't know, that there are summoning spells in TMW. Well, I'm new here and I'm a muggle. ;) But I think, that most of newbies would be confused with summoned beasts and attack them. And so would I, until now. Now i know and it won't happen. ;)

It would be a lesson easily learned if when a player attacked summoned creatures, all of the creatures would start attacking him.

when i attack some thing i target it with "A" and or "X", that includes the summon monsters ..

if im in p.v.p. i use "Q" to attack other players ...

if you had to target summon monster with "Q" like it was part of the player ,it mite help the problem some...

my 2 pennys

Maybe there is a way to distinguish summoned creatures from normal ones? E.g. altered colours?

BTW. When I, on my very beginnig, saw summoned spiky mushrooms and fluffies on the desert, I thought "what the hell, Mario Bros invasion on TMW?!".

Well, but you forgot some scenario: sometimes I'm calling creatures to allow newbies to practice without running long distances. I don't see why this should be discouraged or non-welcome anyhow. IMHO, if someone unhappy with killing "his" monsters, just tell this to players who're killing "your" monsters.

As for assistive monsters and more fun with this, I still have one idea though: maybe dev's can think about a "summon evil mushrooms" spell for level 3? (or other higher levels spells). I bet a very few people may want to attack evl mushroom when there is lots of them walking aound . And this could be both more fun with advanced magic and implementation of idea mentioned above.
