old-egorilla

Post by Big Crunch »

He ripped me off. Its my fault, noob mistake, I didnt look closely at the trade window. I sold him platemail armor for initially 35 and a furry hat. He then cancelled put in 4200 and distracted me with chatter about 'oops I had 340k , not 34k.' so I wouldnt notice. I want my money, but I know that wont happen. I would like everyone to know not to trust him. I have been in a situation in a cave with red slimes coming and he has swooped in and stolen my items while I was attempting to fight them. I thought he didnt understand etiquette and gave him a pass, so I decided to trade with him. I think this behavior could keep people from the game. It certainly left a sour taste in my mouth.

I just want to make sure that the proper authorities know about his douchebaggery and hopefully compile more stories and take some action. I asked him about this and he ignored my whispers and when i found him I asked him nicely to please give me the rest of my money and he said 'you got it'. I told him that it was only 4200 hoping he made a mistake and was a decent person, but no, he refused to talk and shortly left the game.

Duly noted. As much as I'd love to add him to my "The Inf Helm 100k List", I can't bring myself to do so without SOME form of proof. Any screenshots handy?

Because

1. There is no evidence posted here and
2. Scamming is not against the game rules anyway

I moved this thread from "Court House" to "Player Talk".

  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

I hate that too, but in fact can it really be called illegal? in the end YOU push the agree button so if you don't see the conditions it's somehow your fault... (like for the "tertms of use" once you agree you are "supposd" to know what's written in it  ) but it'd be nice a "black list" of the cheating players...

no, I'm a noob and it didnt occur to me that he did it on purpose and by the time I realized he scammed me everything was replaced by chatter. Thats why I just want it to be noted that he has done this to me and could do it to others. Establish a possible pattern and such.

Always avoid situations where you give up something for nothing
* never let someone try on your stuff "come on man I just want to try it on"
* never play a game where you give them stuff with the understanding of them giving it back(games of trust)
* always make sure the trade what you want in the trade window (example make sure its not 2200gps instead of 22000gps)

Remember, Shop Smart Shop S~Mart.

He always seems to try and overprice things, e.g. Iron ore 10k each. I have to agree with avoiding trading with him.

Sorry this is off topic kind of.
Things like this is what people begin to hack for.
1.) Here he is an innocent player.
2.) He than gets ripped off.
3.) comes to authority ,IMO like he should.
4.) you tell him this whats in this quote
6.) he assumes that's your course of action.
7.) he tries to take revenge on the assface who ripped him off
8.) platyna banns him eventually
9.) poor innocent dude gets fckd

Yeah, because people get SO rich from not selling their stuff because they overpriced it!
When you overprice your stuff, it doesn't get sold, so you don't get rich! Duh!

There is always someone who will buy overpriced stuff. Ask gouki and his 10k ore he seems not to have a problem selling it.

Maybe you won't and I know I won't but someone will :)
