Ok, there are two ways to add an image and I will tell you the way so there is no size limit and no box around it. First of all, upload your image here: http://imageshack.us/ then, once the image is uploaded, copy the URL. Click the button that says 'Img' above the text box, it looks like this:

Then paste the URL in between the

. And that's how it is done.

*note* While this method is best for offtopic images (as it doesn't use our server space and bandwidth), I would much rather prefer graphics developers to Upload their art via the "Upload attachment" right below the post editor.

Also, if it is too big, or unsupported format, you may want to try uploading it to the wiki and linking to it.

Yes I agree with the idea for what devs should do but not for off topic images/abuse reports.
