WHAT WE WANT - Boredom fighters!!
WHAT WE WANT - Boredom fighters!!
Why are we as players bored?
Do we want more quests, or just bigger, longer more difficult ones.
Do we want more places to go?
Do we want more things to work for ie armor or rares.
Seriously What do you want in this game.
More PVP, less lounging.
Repeatable quests?
More money to buy useless things.
More useless things
We all are bitchin' we are bored, but no one is saying what would help kill the boredom.
Personally, I would like to see more quests, that take you all over the place. Scavenger type quests.
More places to go and explore.
Magic is fun, but......after you got it then what.
There are a ton of new people out there that I am sure have a ton of ideas.
Share them so the people who can, know what to work towards.

Design, script and maybe pixel it. If it's not there make it. Most of the official devs time is taken up on TMWServ CR1. If there's something you want for eA make it yourself.

Ok, fine, now that you have stretched your claws, and made it quite clear that you cant read.feline monstrosity wrote:Design, script and maybe pixel it. If it's not there make it. Most of the official devs time is taken up on TMWServ CR1. If there's something you want for eA make it yourself.
I am asking What do OTHERS want.
So those that Can Script, pixel, and design do just that.
Pull in the points and keep to the subject.
Players come to play, and deserve that right. When a new quest comes out, they jump on it and finish it in the first hour.
Bigger, Better, Longer, Harder. (not that you can provide any of that)
WHAT DO THE PLAYERS WANT !!

What on that list do you think we can't provide?zyperz wrote:Bigger, Better, Longer, Harder. (not that you can provide any of that)

Re: WHAT WE WANT - Boredom fighters!!
More towns so I can escape the retards in hurns
Actually I would like to see more maps and monsters. It would be nice to have more choices what monsters you grind. I'd also like to see some passive human monsters in the towns you can kill. They won't bother you unless you attack them. And once you attack them they all come like evil mushrooms
The idea of town raids sound appealing. And to take it a step further when a person attacks a town they are flagged for pvp combat in that town so other peoples can help protect the town..... *cough wow rip* I know but it was so fun

Re: WHAT WE WANT - Boredom fighters!!
I went a fair way into designing a branch which I'd still like to make one day, if only I can find enough people interested in helping (which most likely won't happen while TMW's around), and I planned for towns to have lots of Citizen NPCS which assisted each other, as well as Policemen (or a better name), which assisted each other and Citizens (but Citizens don't assist Policemen).
But really, if you're bored when playing TMW, don't play the damned thing.

Re: WHAT WE WANT - Boredom fighters!!
I had to respond to this topic,
First, content does not magically appear, it requires many, many hours to pixel images alone.
For instance, pixel a hat and test it against player sprite-set and hairstyles, it helps to make a layered template with 4 views L-R-F-B.
A single Image can eat up 2 weeks of evenings. If you don't expect this, brace yourself.
Learning to use your favorite art program ....say gimp...this takes time as well
Then you have to match the sprite-set for your hat to a working xml file.
Then, you can and should test this either in customdata folder or by repacking an update zip,(replacing a existing hat&xml)...save the original...duh.
now log-in game and test hat by walking, fighting with sword & bow, visiting barber and changing hairstyles and dying.
If you saved original layered sprite-
set for hat...and you should, you can adjust it further 1-2-3x whatever it takes.
If you want your hat or item to dye, this requires a special gray-scale image you will have to learn the standard for that.
Now you have a hat. that can be added to the client and the server data base.
Of course you have to learn to use GIT to clone the needed project repositories and make patches for your item or get a developer to do this.
Okay so you have a hat, this is not a quest...a quest has to be scripted now you must learn the older version of eathena coding TMW uses.
Implementing this code requires further Git patch making...and an admin or a developer has to (Fix it probably) and then PUSH IT.
If you are unfamiliar with IRC chat learn about it and find our channels- be patient on IRC everyone has a Real Life
If you quest includes a new NPC...draw it...
If your quest requires new drops draw those.
I LOVE NEW CONTENT!!!! so please don't be discouraged....form small teams and work together...
Get content as far along as you can, this really helps developers...and don't be afraid of being told no or making a mistake,
Work with developers towards a shared content vision...lastly if your content is not right for TMW, new smaller servers are interested
In original content.
\0/ Yay! New Content!
This is not meant to be a (tech spec) tutorial, I am not qualified, but just to give the average player a clue to what goes into new content.
When I first started playing TMW was a much smaller place lol...maps and people...content has grown in a big way.
