I need graphics for a online based game

Me and some of my friends are starting up a online viking game, and we got everything up and running except the graphics.

we would like the following to be created:

this is the current images from the first version of the game, but should only be used as inspiration, we want new ones because we are making a sequel:

axe-warrior

swordfighter

spear fighter

bowman

a house -

a farm -

a temple -

training-ground -

lumberjack place -

We would like to upgrade the graphics into something like this:



But it should be about the size of the ones above, so perhaps it would not need so much detail.

First of all, could you be more specific what kind of graphics you need?
- guidelines (perspective, color palette, art technique)
- exact list of building types
- total amount of requested graphics
- size of graphics
- deadline

Actually I'm training my paint skills on Lenovo X61 Tablet, so I could do one detailed building per month. Perhaps this is not much, but that all I can do. I have to draw outline in inkscape first, then I can paint.

I've done quick and dirty picture to see how it will looks like without outline reference and to be honest it sucks.

I still have no experience in such type of art. But as I previously mentioned it may be nice opportunity to train. I can not guarantee any decent results. Also I am quite busy with some other things (my wife and son, CR1 for TMW, smart brush feature for Tiled, my Master Thesis... it's pretty long list ;))

First of all I am very sorry that I did not answer before now, but I had to ask the others on the team and we had to discuss what we really wanted inside the game.

And now to answer your questions:

1. Guidelines (perspective, color palette, art technique): We are not experts on how to create graphics, but we really like your style in the 'dirty picture', and would be really happy if you could create the rest of the images in the same style.

2. Exact list of building types: The game theme is in the viking age, so the 'type' should be from somewhere around there.

3. total amount of requested graphics: The total amount is currently 11:

the last two I could not find any pictures of on google either:

we need something that symbolizes with 'Land' and 'Gold'.

land = a landscape or a forrest
gold = a nomad riding on a house, with a lot of items, or a chest with gold.

the perspektive on the house you made would be perfect

4. size of graphics: We need in total 11 pieces of graphics, all 485*485 each ← I guess that will be the difficult part, to make it small but yet beautiful.

5. Deadline, you decide as you are the one to make them

It would be great if you made a 'dirty picture' of them all before going into detail, so we can see if you are going in the right direction

One one last thing. Type of license. I would prefer one of these: GPL, CC-BY, Public Domain, but I could also agree on some others (CC-BY-SA, CC-BY-NC, apache, bsd, mit, etc). Any propositions?

Another WIP. Indexed mode because forums attachments size limitation. Sorry for shortening tmw resources. Anyway it's GPL so may be reused somewhere in tmw (perhaps as page illustration in old book or something)

The problem with using content from a lot of different artists, it that the style differs to much

We considered using nicubunu's game art until you finished:
