[phishing]player and website

Post by widowild »

Hello,
today, He is a player (eAmaros) who offered me to have a level 99 and have rare items.
he gave me his website:
http://www.segion-world.es.tl/Home.htm

I'm pretty sure that his site is a scam, beware.

i 'm form france.
it's on the server (server.themanaworld.org port:6901)
the next time he offers me one I would a screenshot.

watch this topic: http://forums.themanaworld.org/viewtopi ... it=eAmaros

you will understand that this issue is linked to this site,it connects to the players' accounts by stealing passwords and recover their money and rare items.

And what do you expect the GMs to do about this?

By the way: When someone falls for a cheap scam like that they deserve their account to be hacked, in my opinion. Better they learn about phishing scams by losing just an account in a free online game and not by losing something which is actually important like their bank account.

  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

I do not want to judge a player, but I just prevent the ways to steal an account. with no evidence (screenshot), I would just like you watch a player (for example: log analysis).

Here's how I was raised:
There was more to the outside, he started talking to me "do you like to have a level 99 and have rare items," I said "ok", he led me into a isolated area (cave) and he sent me this site, I said it was phishing and I'm gone (offline for work reasons). I did not think to make a screenshot.

(i use a translate by google :) )

Please, as Crush already said: This is nothing we GMs can do anything about. So you can discuss it somewhere else.

Topic moved to Player Talk.
